Ingredients for soup
About 2-3 cups chopped pickled cabbage, be sure to rinse and remove excess salt
3-4 medium potatoes , cubed
1 medium onion finely chopped
3 tbs vegetable oil, I use olive oil
1 tsp tomato paste
1 tbs red pepper paste
⅓ cup cracked wheat or bulgur, quinoa, rice or any of your favorite grains
1 cup fully cooked kidney beans
6-7 cups boiling water
Fresh cilantro or parsley ( optional)

Directions
In a medium stockpot sauté the onions with oil
As the onions turn translucent add the cabbage and potatoes, stir and cook 4-5 minutes
Add cracked wheat, tomato and pepper paste, boiling water
Cover the lead halfways and cook until potatoes are cooked, 15-20 minutes
Add fresh herbs and enjoy
For better taste, let it rest 10-15 minutes before serving

Паста перца 1 ст л

Свежая зелень петрушка или кинза на вкус
