I want to use the Engine Lower Gasket Set to repair my LM7, does anyone have experience? How do you rate the quality? I need a build for daily use with wet runs.
ОтветитьYou can't kill a 283 . Had a 60 Impala 283 and powerglide tranny. Tried to kill it but it wouldn't die. Body finally rotted out but engine and tranny were still good. Went to the great junkyard in the sky about 1982.
ОтветитьOk so I liked the video, but since when did they offer a 283 ci in a 1970 impala? Maybe it wasn’t an original engine, you could be more clear.
ОтветитьI WHISH I COULD BE IN YOUR TEAM!!!!!
ОтветитьI did a 350 bored .030 over, dished pistons, roller cam (thumper comp cam), performance water pump, fuel pump, dual plane intake edelbrok intake, 600 holley carb, 305 heads with 1.94s and 1.72s and performance springs, aluminum radiator, electric fans, hedman long tube headers and a red clutches th350 with shift kit, what do you think of this set up?
ОтветитьI got into my first small block in 1969. It was a 327 with 202 valves, oh to be 16 again.
The only color I ever painted them was the orange.
Thank you Mr. Ed Cole for this masterpiece of engine, long live the Chevy small block!
ОтветитьEight year later and this is still my favorite engine rebuild video. I love how it was edited so that at times machinery moves in sync with the music.
A fitting tribute to a Legend.
The video that started it all🔥
ОтветитьJust think of it as a big Lego set
Just gotta make sure all of the pieces go where they’re suppose to
.
ОтветитьIt’s been a long time since I rebuild my small block, Chevy’s, thanks for the memories!
ОтветитьI worked at Jasper Engines for five years, and they can only dream of reaching a level of perfection such as this.
ОтветитьWhat does a rebuild like this cost? I will like to do the same to my 350 :)
ОтветитьWoah it drove itself 🤯
ОтветитьWhat does a rebuild like this cost?
ОтветитьIn '78 my momma bought herself a brand new '78 Chevrolet Nova in light blue exterior and a similar blue in what I think was Naugahyde interior with front & rear bench seats. To the best of my recollection that monster had a 305 which made around 150 horses or so. Now, it could have been the 350 which made closer to 175 HP but I'm not totally sure if it was the 305 or 350. I was about six years old in '78 so the memory isn't too super sharp on the details. She kept it for around seven years and I wish I could have gotten it at 16.
ОтветитьIt's nice to watch your videos!! Keep it up brother!!
Ответить64 impala 283 engine. Dad’s car🥲
ОтветитьMy favorite engine of all time-the the SBC! Yours is looking good! Check out my SBC on my channel!
ОтветитьThese engines will keep chugging along long after 2000s or 2010s cars with their computer controlled bs lock up
ОтветитьHey how much would I have to pay you to do my 1978 chevy v8 305 engine like u done this one here
ОтветитьBadass!!!!
ОтветитьWow that girl was filthy
ОтветитьEngine lore
ОтветитьShould have changed the motor oil more often.
ОтветитьCool video. Wish it had some commentary
ОтветитьEngine is gone ... He got rotated
ОтветитьLong live Hagerty!
Ответитьyesssssssssssssss
ОтветитьGreat video but it was making me seasick moving so fast.
ОтветитьI got something in my eye
ОтветитьPlease do my 350 block
ОтветитьI wonder what engine this is specifically, what it came out of.
Some people may ask me “why in the world” but my favorite Chevy small block is the L03 TBI 305. Sure it only makes 170hp but I’m not in it for the power. My first car was a 1991 Chevy Caprice that I put it a glass pack on and I loved the way it sounded.
Wears me out just watching it.
ОтветитьMany Thanks / Greetings from Poland Daniel SP6QKX
ОтветитьNice job! Especially that they painted it orange!
ОтветитьI have 169k on my 350 small block on my 90 Suburban- would ever need to do this ?
ОтветитьDo you guys rebuild these engines to sell them? building cars? what's the deal? and that machine shop seems really good.
ОтветитьLooks like this sbc had a hard life.
ОтветитьWhat took so long ?! …👍😁
ОтветитьHow much if you were to do another one
ОтветитьNice work... sadly its Obsolete.... Get’m now before they’re all gone....
ОтветитьOne of the many American classics that people can relate to. Solid work horse that's been around for decades with endless parts availability to make it your own.
ОтветитьThat ending is hilarious
ОтветитьFirst car with a Chevy 283. Couldn't kill it. Later on pulled a 305 and put a 327 in a 1980 Camaro. Best engine the car ever had in it. Built a 383 for another car but the 327 was better but had a better cam which is what really made the difference. It's all in the cam as they say.
ОтветитьWhy don’t they use a drill, or an impact? They use that hand-spinney-ratchet-notratchet-thing. I knew what it was called once, long ago...
ОтветитьGotta love the simplicity and reliability of the SBC. An engine you can build practically blindfolded and without breaking the bank.
ОтветитьI love this engine… it’s nice
