I love hearing about Jesus

When I was a new Chritian I started reading my Bible
. And I came across the verse about the employer giving his laborers one penny. I thought it was like a penny we have today worth one cent. I thought what a cheapskate. This guy must be a real miser who wants to starve people to death. Then later on I found out a penny at the time Jesus walked the earth was a whole days wages equal to todays wages paid for labor.

Praise the LORD! I will endeavor to execute my SAVIOR'S desire in prayer: 1 Timothy 2:1-5; in witness Matthew 28:18-20; in testimony Jude 23; love for the lost 2 Peter 3:9. Thank you to all the brethren on this forum. May we all continue to study the Word of GOD 2 Timothy 2:15; that we are blessed and be a blessing unto others. The face of our loving SAVIOR shine greatly and bless us all gloriously. Numbers 6: 24-27. Amen!

The disciples didn't want Jesus to go to the cross to be crucified. But Jesus kept teaching them that He has to go to the cross and suffer and die. I find it absolutely amazing that our Lord had in His mind us who are alive today as well as the disciples. He also had in mind Old Testament believers. That's how much He loves us. What an awesome Savior!
