My ex-house was on a main road. Never ever ever again. Noise started at 6am and didn't quit for over 12 hours. Trash, fast food containers, cigarette butts, wrappers on the lawn. And what we didn't know, and weren't told about - the easement. After about a year, the expansive front yard became the site of work crews for 2 years when the city widened the road, but first dug up everything to replace sewer lines.

Entering in the dining room is a dealbreaker for me.
