Appreciate this post. These old hippies still got it! One of the best tunes from the generation.
ОтветитьLesh and Casady are two of my all-time favorite bassists. NO one sounds like either one of them...totally singlular, instantly identifiable and profound in what they play.
ОтветитьI've seen them quite a few times passing through Chicago (the first time at the long gone Quite Knight, with Papa John). Always a mindblowing experience especially when you find them opening as if in a gesture of modesty, for someone you feel should be opening for them. Perhaps most intense was the time I was in second row, when they opened for Santana (in '77, I believe). I was on organic mesqaline and smoking hashish at the show and recall simply floating away during Santana for daze. I have such deep respect for Jack and Jorma, thank you for posting.
ОтветитьPrettiest songs I ever did hear
ОтветитьI used to always get that warm feeling when I hear this song over the grocery store PA system HFT
ОтветитьThank God they are still upright and sharing their joy with us❤
ОтветитьAs good as a cheap recording as you can get....but thanks. It sounds like shit. LOL
ОтветитьCowtown Ballroom Kansas City May '72. Late show.
ОтветитьMy 1st concert at Winterland. Clifton Chenier (dad, not C J), Muddy Waters, then Hot Tuna with Papa John!!! Fantastic show.
