Exactly like my first car I had. ‘91 LX Laurel Blue Metallic. So much fun to drive and made countless memories. Sold it in 2014. Only had 250k miles. Still drove solid.

I just bought a 2001 Civic with 220,000 on it. The interior and body are immaculate and as far as the engine and transmission. It's a manual and previous owner had the clutch replaced not too long ago and it shifts perfectly, no grinding or slips. The engine was having some idling issues, which she told me about. I discovered that the valve cover gasket has been replaced not long ago while I was changing the spark plugs and I found that when they installed the valve cover back on, the gaskets that seal the spark plugs tubes on the inside of the cover got pinched between the metal and all 4 of them were soaked in oil where the coils connect to the plugs so in fixing that and needs an EGR valve. Pretty soon it will need struts and pads and rotors probably but all normal stuff as far as I'm concerned except the gasket, honest mistake probably but Honda makes the best cars on the road in my honest opinion. I had a 91 Integra years back. That's been my favorite car I've owned ever

All the accords if driven and maintained like this should ALL be capable of 1 Million and above miles.
These cars predates planned obsolescence and aggressive DIY lock out tactics.
Fun fact is virtually all of the 80's and 90's Honda will last as long as this.
All the F, J, H, B and D series are seriously built honestly and fit for purpose with many examples out living their owners interest, driving career or the owner themselves.
Not over engineered or over designed (convoluted parts removal, locked un-serviceable parts etc) like today's cars that keep lights on or unnecessarily go to limp mode to annoy and make you go to the dealer.

Nice review about this long lasting car I wonder about 72 tires or tire set if it is tire set will be much costly but I think tires each time probably 2 tires total of 36 tire set of 2 tires make since as tires recommended to be changed either complete set or two tires in each axile which make since

Such a touching story. My '97 is at about 355,000 miles (I make a vid every 25k miles if you want to see). I have some people that think I am crazy for taking it cross country all the time, but it hasn't really let me down! (I did have a sensor go, but overall pretty good)

any car can get to a million miles, 1st step is you have to drive a lot like 1000 miles a week at least, change the oil every 3K miles and change all the other fluids when they are supposed to be changed, most importantly trans fluid and filter. and just fix stuff when it breaks and replace worn parts when needed. theres no secret to hitting a million miles its common sense

.."if you want a free car or truck, it seems the way to do it is to put it on jack stands, and let it run in run at speed in drive for a few years, and just change the fluids and belts when need be until it reaches a ridiculous amount of miles" This dude actually says the brake calipers are all original, at over 1,000,000 miles. Seems legit! Just kidding, this is obviously total bullshit. I think those miles are real...3,440. If not, it was absolutely ran on jack stands in a garage to achieve such mileage with such little wear on the interior.

I love my Accord and so tempted to trade it in. I have a 2018 sport with turbo. I bought it CPO in 2021 with 37,000 miles and I’ve drove a lot and now have 113,000 miles. It still drives and rides like the day I took it off the lot. I do all oil changes and just did a tranny flush and it helps a lot. My opinion is the Honda engine and their proven CVT a Honda engine will last longer than a Camry. Only issue with it is it does through tires fast and I don’t speed, however in all fairness I am in the hottest city in the country “Phoenix “

This was the first family car we had when I was a kid and it was also blue. I distinctly remember the sound it made when driving in reverse. Apparently all hondas at the time made that same sound when backing up quickly.

Mine was 1990 Honda Accord LX - the same color. I had over 300k miles when a friend (truck driver) borrowed it and ruined it. He rotated the ignition key 360 degrees and engaged the engine and started simultaneously unable to turn it all off. He drove back like that and we disconnected the battery and unplugged some wiring but engine died soon after having developed leaks and other issues; sold it to junk yard! God - I miss my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. Beside driving across the US I drove it to Canada and Mexico as well - the car NEVER BROKE DOWN!!!
