I dunno how y'all will feel hearing this but as 12 year older sister, I'm watching this and researching about it for my 3 year old brother. 😂

Any advise for a 15m old? He's never been very vocal, kid barely laughs its only recently he has been. He learned how to say no and dada and trying to teach him Cat but doesn't help I'm not super vocal either, think he is taking after me

I'm establishing playtime with my 7months old baby. I went through your playlist (from appropriate toys for his age, do's and don'ts, etc). I observed yesterday that he's able to communicate more during our playtime. Like, yesterday we were playing his rainbow tower toy, and I purposedly hide the toy, he made a sound like he's protesting 😅 and so we continued playing. Your videos greatly help me as a FTM. Thank you! 😊🤗

Excellent tips! Thank you 💜 I'm here for a refresher with baby #2. Baby #1 was an early and very advanced talker. Biggest thing was me and my husband talking to him nonstop all day long since he was a baby 👍

I just want to say thank you for your videos. My children are grown and I have a granddaughter and now an infant grandson, and I have been watching your videos to try and help me understand and learn. My kids were early talkers and maintained a high vocabulary, but my granddaughter was a late talker. She is 4 years old and really only started really talking about a year or year and a half ago. Now with my grandson, and him living with me, I want to make sure that I am giving him the best I can. Thank you.

Hi Emma, I am starting to worry as I am browsing through my baby's videos for the past 6 months, she seems more talkative at around 2-3 months compared to present (6 months). She can, however, express varying emotions (happy, discontent, etc)

Hi Emma! At what age we expect the baby to talk? My daughter is 1 year and 3 months old and a professional said that she should be speaking 50 words…

most of this I already do but still my 12m old only says : "that"( in my language it's two words instead of one) which I know that is great that he can say these words, but I'm kind of worried that he skipped the basics like mama, dada and other words 😕

I have been a trained ESL educator for 15 years. I work to teach English to adults who speak other languages.
Many of these techniques are used in my field of work. We always start with nouns and verbs. It is also more effective to start with speech as opposed to writing.

Hi Emma! I just want to thank you so much for your videos. I’m a first time mom/ stay at home mom and I’ve been stressing so much about things I need to be doing with my baby girl as she’s growing. I don’t really have anyone to help me or guide me in what to do as everyone I know who has had a baby is 20-30 years older than me. I just want to say that your videos are wonderful and so helpful!

we've got a baby girl coming in a few months, I'll speak English and Spanish to her and my wife French while we live in China so the child will learn Chinese outside. Children are like sponges and get everything n super clever.

I do all of this and have been through speech therapy with my last child, so I am confident that my I will be able to manage well with my new baby, but my husbands family has actively shown with my 16month old niece that they would rather laugh and post videos of the limited speaking ability or grunts and silly noises over encouraging speech development.
Both my eldest children started speaking around 9 months with about 10 simple words, like mum dad dog bird up food wet, before they each turned 1. So it is mu plan to keep my daughter away from my husbands family as much as I need to so she can learn speech correctly.
Personally I don't know why they are not more concerned that my niece only says hey, mum, dad and up

Hi, I’ve noticed that your daughter is yelling while playing with the ball. Do you know why she’s doing that? My little one (7 months) is yelling like that, and sometimes more :) First I thought she was in pain but now I think she just want attention or she’s over-excited about something….but I do not know for sure…can you comment on that? Thank you!

I've started to use baby signing with my daughter since she's going to be bilingual (German / Japanese) to help her connect the words in different languages with their meaning. (I believe that it's gonna help.)
Definitely I'll further shorten my sentences as advised. Thank you! 🤗

My 9 month old daughter says 8 words, 5 multiple times a day.
The cutest thing is how she calls the dog "good" and chants "boobies" when she wants to nurse.

Hi Emma, your videos are very valuable and useful for me :) Thank you!
I have questions my baby is 7 and half months, we are not from England... How is better to communicate with him of our natural language or of English? At home we talking of Bulgarian language, TV is On sometimes of English rhymes and songs? When is good to send my baby in nursery after 1 year or before that?
Thank you

My baby is 17 month old. She is not pointing or using gestures instead of multiple repetitions. She is Papa or Dada but rarely Mama. She is unable to do simple gestures like come, go, give me ball..

I don't know why my baby didn't sounds like other newborn and using newborn language. Instead he called me, "mbu" everytime he want me near him. Mbu is how I want to be called, it means mother in my language. He started babbling at 4 months and started pointing at 7 months. I'm so obsessed to teach him speaking rather than walking.
