Ответить❤️💛💚! Very nice synopsis of the Caribbean but it is more complex because there are Belize 🇧🇿 , Suriname 🇸🇷 , Guyana 🇬🇾, French Guiana 🇬🇫 are considered Caribbean also but located in Central & South America!
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьBelize 🇧🇿 stay being left out of the Caribbean conversation SMH

ОтветитьAs an Aruban, we dont just speak Dutch. We have our own language, Papiamentu or Papiamento. Which is the most used language on the ABC islands.
ОтветитьYes we all one ❤🎉 🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨

ОтветитьFun Fact about Redonda island. There is a Kingdom of Redonda! A fictional nation with an aristocracy of writers and poets. Their last king was Javier Marias

ОтветитьIncorrect facts said about the Dominican Republic:
1. No, Dominicans and Puertorricans are not “against” each other, nor are either of them with Cubans; we all love and support each other because we are so very similar, culturally speaking ❤
2. No, Dominicans don’t prefer Mofongo, they prefer Mangú, which is delicious, although Cuba has Fufú, Dominicans have Mangú and Puerto Rico has Mofongo, all made from plantains and we all love all three versions
Bro forgot Guyana
ОтветитьIt's 'odd' hearing outsiders describe us frm their biases & White marketing of our culture & ppl.
Ответитьblackest of all latin american countries? no thats brazil

ОтветитьThese Caribbean people need to learn life is not easy. . just so dumb, smoking weed all day. . don't realize life is not worth living and we should all aim for heaven
ОтветитьThe pronunciations on some of these are killing me 😭😭😭.
ОтветитьPuertoricans claim mofongo
Dominicans claim mangu. Very different dishes.
So, before Google maps, it was known to us Dominicans that our island is named Santo Domingo. After Google maps, no one seems to use that name outside of the country.

ОтветитьI'mma trini
ОтветитьI like either the United Americas or North America with the Caribbean included. It makes more sense to have N America and the Caribbean connected because the Caribbean isn't big enough to be considered it's own landmass.
ОтветитьNow I wanna go to Grenada!
ОтветитьUs puerto ricans have no problem with our family DR 🇵🇷🇩🇴, were united and always will be
ОтветитьIf they put all the islands, that would be great

ОтветитьAbout 15 or 20 years ago my dad went to Aruba with his friend George from work and afterward said he wanted to live there and didnt want to go back home. He did say the plane landing was scary yet fun. When they were both snorkeling in waist deep water my dad was looking at the sea floor and saw yellow and black swim quickly past his goggles, as he looked around for his friend to tell him what he saw, George was already back on the beach yelling "Snake in the water!" Hahaha "George, what the hell?!?"
ОтветитьUmm Will I here to learn not to talk about brush teeth

ОтветитьEverything I need to know about Caribbean geography... I learned from the 1987 Sid Meier's Pirates game 😜
ОтветитьI’m hearing people comment “black” like there is a common understanding of what that mean outside Stateside USA. White people (like me) should just stay away from using using the term where I live … in the Virgin Islands. Early here, I referenced black to a West Indian and he was quick to point that his family is “West Indian, not black.”
“Black” became fashionable in the 60s in the US to get away from the variations people were using for “Negro”. By the way, people from the Island of Dominica, (which is WAY south compared to the one shared with Haiti) say “Do min KNEE ca” and that they are “Do Min Eek cans” … something like that.
