Reaching #39 isn't too shabby actually. It's so camp and British, what a hoot!
ОтветитьWhat the actual frock?!
Ответить2023 brilliant.
ОтветитьAnd now even Debenhams is no more as of 2021.
ОтветитьI miss Mr. Humphreys and Miss Slocum. So Glad I got to be born and witness their great talent.
ОтветитьEvery cheap double entendre they could possibly think of in one song.
ОтветитьIt reached number 39, but he thought it would ride up with wear.
Ответить"There's no one here but me" is his line for when a gentleman being measured for a made to measure suit feels something round the inside leg. It's why Mr. Grainger always reminded Mr. Humphries to "come right out" when he was taking measurements in the fitting room.
Ответить"Don't worry, they will ride up with wear"
ОтветитьThank you, this is Comedy Gold . I own his 1st two lps ( he released 3) "Are you being served ,sir" (the lp that produced this track) and "I'm Free" . I had no idea this track was released as a 45 in the UK and reached 39 in the charts. 😊
ОтветитьFantastic 😍
ОтветитьWhy is there no biography of the life lived by John Inman?
ОтветитьThe cash register has a crank!!
ОтветитьThe video makes no sense. Only the senior is allowed to wear his tape around his neck.
ОтветитьI love that in the period of 1972-1985, nobody was homophobic to John Inman in real life, nor Mr. Humphries in Are You Being Served? Jokes were made, but they were never offensive. People loved him. He was brilliant. So funny and talented. Rest in peace.
ОтветитьJohn Inman was such an underrated actor in my opinion. I can't imagine anyone else playing the part of Mr Humphries. He could make you laugh with a simple look or a pause. Not to mention his walking.
ОтветитьHistory Today brought me here
Ответитьi'm humphreys and am freeee lol ...
ОтветитьThat's what you call customer service I'm free!!
ОтветитьLoved Mr. Humphries character 💜 🎬📺🎶
ОтветитьThat's the theme song for AYBS Australian version.
Ответить"Yes, I'm free, Captain Peacock." No other character on that show made me laugh more than Humphries. His one-foot-out-of-the-closet humor was bold and cutting-edge for that era!
ОтветитьI feel like him, I get asked advice about clothing and measurements, by strangers in shops, people I know or have known, so this will have to be my theme song!
The dummy looks like all of Duran Duran.
The good old days of fun & tolerance ...Before the LGBT fanatics ruined it all!
ОтветитьI'm late...I'm late
I must press button eight

ОтветитьWell...this is gonna be stuck in my head until the century ends...
ОтветитьOMG!!!! Thanks for posting this wonderful gem. I STILL love Mr. Humphries and miss he and the rest of the cast dearly. RIP beloved cast of AYBS.
