Communism and Inflation is at a all time high. Small businesses will not make it. And it breaks my heart.
ОтветитьIt's disgusting how the damned Italian gov pays billions for useless wars in izeeel and ukraine and for migrants and refugees
ОтветитьMy friend and I were both offered jobs at Orsoni in 1999 when we were backpacking Europe.
ОтветитьArtisan anything is a Niche Market. So if you don't have an established clientele AND the money to float you until your business makes a profit (usually several years) DON'T squander away your Mama's inheritance on an ILL CONCIEVED "Dream". Especially don't count on the government to bail you out. That is NOT what government's should be in the business of, especially with some poor working slobs hard earned money.
ОтветитьChe si mantengano vivi gli antichi mestieri d'arte patrimonio immateriali dell'umanità ❤
ОтветитьWhat an interesting industry. Still holding on.
ОтветитьThe mosaic crafting aspect reminded me of Zellige tiles.
ОтветитьAs unrewarding and dangerous as it is, it must be protected
ОтветитьMany Indians would love to learn this if given a chance
ОтветитьVery interesting. Thank you, e grazie, Orsoni.
ОтветитьConstantino is such a hot name.
ОтветитьI thought that was nick cage in the thumbnail
Ответитьhello I am also a mosaic artist
Ответитьspectacular!
ОтветитьThe Corning Glass Center in New York is a great place to visit if you are ever here! They are always having artists blowing glass and different things to do!
ОтветитьI AM ITALIAN AND GO OFTEN TO VENICE..... I CAN TELL THERE ARE STILL A FEW VERY NICE FABRICS BIG AND SMALL.
Ответитьwhy do they hire someone to narrate with such a strong accent, get a diff narrator please
ОтветитьThe labor shortage is everywhere. The population is aging insanely fast and soon going down globally.
ОтветитьVenice having no more glass factories is almost like...well, like if Corning discontinued the Corning ware brand!
...wait, what?
Can you spell Gabbana?
ОтветитьHonestly, seems like an interesting craft.Specially if you're either the one dealing with the molten glass or the one sit in concentration dealing with the smaller pieces.
It has everything for everyone.
Ha ha) Europe made sanctions for Russia and killed unique mastercraff in Italy, while Russia was hardly affected. Aren't our EU politicians idiots?)
ОтветитьThat's how Europe is killing its business by imposing sanctions against Russia and abandoning cheap Russian gas in favor of expensive American gas.
Ответитьwhat a hunk constantino is! 😍
ОтветитьAll those tattoos, what a disgrace
ОтветитьHang on, Russia was giving us all cheap gas, they never limited the supply, the EU / West did that because we felt we were losing control.
Ответитьthis is absolutely NOT the last glass factory in venice OR murano
Ответитьplease hire me. I'd like to continue this beautiful artistic tradition that must be protected and continued at all cost.
ОтветитьI've never liked mosaics. It's way worse than paintings.
Ответитьnot wearing safety glasses for the glass breaking part seems absolutely beyond stupid lol
ОтветитьAs an artist I’m very hurt watching this cuz certain art techniques if not passed on to the newer generations will die out. We must preserve this type of skill set.
ОтветитьI found my dream job
ОтветитьI did an art class assignment by doing a “ glass tile” pic of a Mexican leaning against a tree taking a siesta. My glass came from my Mom’s dish cupboard …I broke pieces to shape from saucer, cup, glass , plate….each color I needed. Fortunately for me, I got a very high grade and displaying….my forgave me😂❤️
ОтветитьOf course the government couldn't give half a rat's farty fk about keeping the country's cultural heritage alive. No surprise there.
ОтветитьWhy does it take soooo much money to get the oven started??? Wish they'd explain that. They said it can cost up ro $22,000 dollars? I dont understand why it isnt cheaper to shut off the oven when not in use.
ОтветитьNice art ❤, keep it going .
ОтветитьSeems like something that can be made more accessible for everyone with Automation
ОтветитьI was in Murano in December 1975.
So many glass factories open to visitors. And Venice almost deserted in the morning fog. Nothing can be ever be given for granted. I pray for Venice and these masterful artists. 🙏
This is so sad that there is only 1 left.
ОтветитьVery cool
ОтветитьIt's not Russia who is limiting supply of gas, it's the sanctions placed on Russia, and of course, the sabotage of the nord stream pipeline by America.
Ответить👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьWhat a disconnect, it's hard to believe that Italy has so much youth unemployment, yet they can't find even a small number of apprentices interested in keeping this beautiful artform alive.
ОтветитьWhy are we working in imperial measurements when all of the world apart from the USA, Burma & Liberia are metric??
ОтветитьHoly shit, I wish I could do glass mosaics. Thank you for showing me this.
ОтветитьThe world is facing impending energy doom. The American desert would be the place to set up a solar still. Glassmaking is an energy intensive process.
ОтветитьCONSTANTINO LOOKS HOT ❤
ОтветитьI am artisan and yes...somebody say the wage is under comfortable living line. I'm in carpentry, just a note there
