William Polonsky, PhD - Providing Hope to People with Diabetes

We caught up with Dr William Polonsky to discuss the importance of behavioural science as he receives the ADA's Outstanding Educator in Diabetes Award. Self-management is essential to good outcomes in diabetes, yet patient retention can be a challenge in diabetes self-management education. Dr Polonsky takes us through some of his ideas to improve this, and how to provide hope and positive messaging to people with diabetes.
