I Installed Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop Edition and the games work fine.

The only thing stopping me from replacing spyware malware bloated windows 11 is the compatibility with all games on Steam OS or Linux mint. Hopefully I will get rid of corporate money hungry Microsoft soon

Also; I just want to say that SteamOS is literally better than this shit we call Windows. Windows fell after Windows 10, what with the spyware, bloatware, etc. Like when I'm gaming, the games would randomly minimize and return to the regular display screen (Desktop), or something would get deleted and I'm so, so, SO FUCKING sick of that shit. Like I'd rather deal with SteamOS still being in it's infancy state (Steam 3) than deal with Windows 11 any longer. I find that Distro you're using plus SteamOS more aesthetically pleasing for some reason more than I do Windows.

Do note that the USB drive will boot on certain systems, it will boot on a Steam deck (my only AMD system) but it will not fully boot on a intel 6th gen i5 Pro (yes I am well aware of the reasons but I also have my own reason for trying the "stupid" stunt, I'm trying my darndest to migrate from Microshaft Windblows over to Linux and I still need some Windblows programs to work preferably without a VM, I've found that lots of Windblows programs, not just games, work with Proton more than WineHQ at this time (I use Lutris to run the programs)

So basically at the end, if like me who has both AMD CPU and GPU, im have the go ahead? I'm so tempted to do this, i might install it on another drive besides Windows, so that if something goes horribly wrong, i can still go back. Thanks for the video.

I guess my big question is, is there support for mouse and keyboard, being mid 50's with giant hands and arthritis is not conducive to controller gaming.

like why would you like to use game mode on a computer when you have a mouse and keyboard

Bazzite is a huge download, I moved to Catchy OS and all went too simple, but I'll wait till Steam is beefed up to use on a TV,

I installed it on my PC 9800x3d and 9070 xt pulse, but I don't get a picture with the gamescope. I can switch to another VT and switch to the desktop mode by running steamos-session-select plasma, and everything works fine there. So, unlike gamescope, KWin works fine. Did you do anything special? Are you using hdmi or DP?

Apple has the "audio-visual" market. Windows has "gaming market". If Windows lose this market and Steam OS takes it... I think it's just a matter of time and Window will lose the "productivity market" as well. If Valve works a little bit on LibreOffice... There will be no reason to use Windows, at least that I can imagine...

I'm loving my 5090 (damn well better be for the price I paid...) but the lack of support for Steam OS/Linux in general from Nvidia makes me so mad. I really wish AMD didn't abandon the high end, though I understand why... But if I could've gotten, say, a 9080XTX that came within 10% of the performance of a 5090, I probably would've, and I'd love to see how Steam OS would perform on such a machine.
