TERMINATOR 1 REMADE (Ending Chase) 3D Animation on Blender

😁 I did this video 4 years ago as a beginner and I just wanted to have fun while learning new skills. 😁

I like it but , I have problem with the metal texture , to blink , to shiny, in that regard I prefer the original. and the movement of the terminator are tooo smooth , is like in the original the terminator was at 30 fps and the film in 60 fps , but now the terminator is at 120 fps and the film still is in 60 fps , you know what I mean , everything else is really good.

As impressive as this is, and it does look good, you just can’t beat the freaky way the terminator looks in the original version, looks way creepier.

The animation is really well done and would be awesome in a touched up version of the film. That being said, I think I prefer the aesthetic of the original Terminator model. Would love to see the original model with the touched up animations, though appreciate that may have its own challenges.

Several scenes in Terminator 1 were shot and what they call commando style. This is where they show up at a street corner jump out film the scene and leave before the police get there. It cuts costs but can cause problems with bystanders.

No offense, I'm sure it was fun to do - but the result is terrible. It's kind of a textbook example of why we went through a long uncanny valley with CGI never being able to stand up against practical effects. We sometimes get it right these days, but the practical T-800 scenes in this video just stand out like a sore thumb as being vastly more convincing. The CGI looks disconnected from reality and cartoonish

I'll be honest I actually prefer the stop motion version of it there's a charm to it that takes me back to better times this new CGI crap is just also overused that I'm not impressed with it anymore it's like okay great yeah sure CJ I can do it show me something else.

I think the original is still good but with the new technology of today the terminator looks much more realistic and less CG! And definitely creepier!

Blurays look just as good as 4k when you play them in a 4k player sometimes even better they have made 4k look darker in hopes to bring out more definition

It's a shame that Cameron cut out the part where it was revealed that the factory where the climax took place was actually Cyberdyne Systems.

If i had the money and the rights, i'd release Terminator, Predator, Robocop & Alien movies with remastered and extra action scenes.

You know, some people say that the original reflects the light better, which is arguably true, but honestly, you’d have to be paying close attention to notice that, and I feel that that’s way less immersion breaking than being straight up stop motion. I think this is a massive improvement to one of my very few issues with this movie, and if you don’t already work in this field, you damn sure should

I do not consider this work the labor of a beginner. =) This is gorgeous, you truely improved the movie in a few very crucial spots. Stop Motion is a really nice art form, but for something like this, it was never the optimal form of picturing those scenes. As a Terminator fan to the heart, I can say, everybody from now on should watch your version. It makes this killer robot more life like and this just now turns those scenes into the shots, Cameron was envisioning. Respect for this dedication.

If anything, I would have suggested to make the endoskeleton a little bit less shiney. It looks too clean. But this is only a minor nitpick. =)

Man I hate to say it but I like the original more but not by much

I love how you modified the skull. It looks more terrifying. This shit used to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid, and now at almost 41 years old it still scares the shit out of me.

You can implant it in the original movie so it looks better

If I saw this in the 80s, I'd shit an actual brick

I prefer the original with the exception of light on the t-800.......do not like the bright red eyes and pearly whites.....almost trying to hard

The first Terminator movie felt more like a John Carpenter film than a James Cameron movie, and coincidentally both men have the same initials, that also coincide with John Connor.

Original looks a lot better, the frame rate is the biggest thing letting it down.

So good except for that awful dubbed is distracting

You are very talented but personally I prefer the original. I always felt like the low fps movement was intentional to make it more uncanny. At least it's a good trick to have something animated at a different fps than the rest of the movie to make people feel uneasy about the animated thing.

As we learned with Aliens... it's the human teeth. That's the most important part in the creep factor. This animation retains that quality while improving on the fluidity of the motion. Therefore it's a direct improvement.
