Steam Update: In-game overlay, notifications, and a fresh coat of paint

How come steam web helper keeps taking more and more memory to run. I don't want it on but I am not given a choice if I want to play the games I payed for. I can see no reason that steam web helper needs 600+ mb to just to play a game. Are you guy now recording and selling our information?

The overlay won't let me start the games on GeForce now. Literally loads for ever

because of this update, the steam itself is starting to lag, every day it writes to restart the program,
It was better to leave the steam version from 2010, it is much nicer and much better.

Upgrade the browser for gods sake please.A little speeddial/bookmarks page will be a lifesaver

Hey where the hell is the "Activate a product" button????? I'm trying to install a game and I can't find the button. I've watched 6 videos that are 4 months old or less and I can clearly see their activate a product button. I'm ready to stroke out

Ugly as seen. The 2019 UI update was nice, this is just trash. Let us remove the "What's New" shelf. I get it's to push us into buying. Guess what, it makes me NOT WANT to buy stuff. I like to browse the store page, I don't want ads in my library page. Keep 'em separated.
I want my library to be clean and orderly. And I want the % value of the reviews back.

could we get an option to just keep using the older UI? i really do not like this new look, and having forced steam to not update towards this new look, im now permanently offline. could this "modernizing" of the look either stop or come with option to use the old/previous look?
