Respect your labor! But if we talk about this video, it’s not correct results because you compare 3 different types of bits. For example bits with thread makes rough holes but very fast, while similar bits without thread ca make more better holes.
ОтветитьSurprising results. Now I have to embed some nails and hit them with my Bosch augers to tune up their speed. Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks.
ОтветитьI'd like to see something like this with router bits if possible
ОтветитьAppreciate your video, going to see if you are on patreon after posting this.
Made in China, made in China, made in China, made in China. Ugh, I’ve had it with these companies. I’d pay more for locally produced with the higher quality.
Just wanted to say your videos are so extremely well done, i just had to subscribe and im not even that intersested in tools and such stuff, but i wanted to reward the effort you put into these videos.
ОтветитьGreat info. Love the show. A chippy from the U.K.🪚🔨
ОтветитьI've been watching your videos for a while now. I was about to make a purchase and thought, "I wonder if Project Farm has a video for that?" You did! I love your honest non biased reviews. You do an exceptional job creating tests and giving data. I'm happy to see you get more subscribers, you've earned it.
ОтветитьI almost always buy diablo blades. They have yet to fail me. Saw, drillbits, router bits, sawzall, oscillating saw. I like milwaukee driver bits, but not much else of their hand tools.
Just found out diablo makes driver bits. Ordering them now. 😂
I wonder about the size of the hole if a 3/4 drill really drills a 3/4 hole
ОтветитьTodd would love if you tested actual dedicated auger, self-feed, forstner bits! The various models of Irwin, Dewalt, Milwaukee, Spider, Diablo, Makita, etc. There are soooo many options, its hard to decide. Plus some of them have multiple cutting edges, replaceable blades on some, carbide/HSS cutting edges, titanium coatings, and so much more. Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you for your dedication. My winner is the Drill Press!!
Ответитьstop buying crap from china
ОтветитьAfter all these videos the only thing I have learned for certain is how important a good drill press is
ОтветитьHow do you sharpen a spiral point bit?
ОтветитьMy experience with the 1" Irwin Speedbor is much different than yours. I needed it to drill into 8 foot long pressure treated 2x4s and before I used it on them I wanted to test it first. After drilling three holes in a scrap 2x8 that was not pressure treated the augur would no longer bite into the wood and all the holes wandered (I was using a hand drill as there was no room in the garage to get the 2x4s to the drill press).
From seeing other reviews it appears that getting these bits is a crap-shoot. Sometimes they are good but other times, like mine, not so good.
Hi, I am moving to mostly hand tools, how about testing bits for a brace (and old vs modern braces as well)?
ОтветитьWOW! That drill press is a tank! If I'm not wrong, that's the drill press you use just about in every video. Definitely a very tough drill press, you should try and test different drill presses.
ОтветитьCan you guys compare 3/4” wood auger long drill bits?
I see your comparisons all the time and buy accordingly,
Thanks
Have u done video RE: gas power post hole diggers? If not could you?
(Love your videos) thank you for so much good info. Most online reviews are not to be trusted so your videos are much needed!
Since you included auger bits, I would love to see how you think wood owl auger bits compare. Especially their three wing design.
ОтветитьI wish you could also test Forstner bits 😀
ОтветитьWould love to see another showdown more brands like Spyder, WoodOwl etc!
ОтветитьI cant seem to find any tests on impact sockets. Sunnex, Astro pneumatic, Milwaukee, Dewalt etc. Will love to see a review on that thanks!
ОтветитьExcellent video, really appreciate all that prep work!
ОтветитьHi thank you for giving us the true n honest reviews not tainted by sponsorships. I am exploring forstner bits. You have lenox. Would you please do a review of forstner drill bits, the cheap vs expensive one? Also, can the dewalt spade just as good as forstner bits? Thank you.
ОтветитьIf you want to be blown away by a wood boring bit, try the Wood Owl Over Drive bits. Amazing results.
ОтветитьDamn I’d hate to be the test subject if u tested dildos
ОтветитьQuestion, Wht exactly is the difference between the black oxide and the “gold” drill bits? Just one is stronger than the other?
ОтветитьIrwin auger and Bosch nail striker bits is a great combo buy
ОтветитьNow I know how Swiss cheese is made.
ОтветитьThanks for the great video. Have you considered doing a similar video around hole saws for wood?
ОтветитьHave you done a test with Forstner bits?
ОтветитьWill you be kindly do a test on forstner bits sir, please? :)
ОтветитьI definitely drilled through a nail with the diablo spade once. It didn't look too great afterward though. Great vid, as always.
ОтветитьWhich 2 where the best to use ?
ОтветитьI thoroughly enjoy your videos and appreciate the incredible amount of work you put into each one. Now it'd be fantastic if you could actually do a video comparing many of the different brands of each type of drill bit now that you've done this video with a mix of types.
ОтветитьYou should increase drill machine spindle rotation speed
ОтветитьI’m impressed with Irwin Speedbor
ОтветитьSome of those bits are not meant to be used at such a slow RPM. I'm curious how that would have affected the testing
ОтветитьI've done carpentry and wood work for a bit more then 50 years and have used mostly DeWalt for the last 20 or so. Good tools.
I would like to see a test of hole saws. I've been disappointed with whatever I have been able to buy over the years.
Can you please do a review of drill guides/hand held drill presses? rockler, woodcraft, woodpecker etc
thanks so much!
Can you compare just Forsner drill bits?
ОтветитьIf you are trying to drill studs for wiring you will definitely want the self feed function.
Ответить1st off love your videos 2nd how bout doing a forstner test
ОтветитьHave you ever tested spur point bits vs forstner bits for cleanliness of entry? I’ve always used forstner bits for plug holes but I’ve seen two videos this week about how great spur point bits are for hardwood! Anyone?
ОтветитьEvery video that I have watched of yours has been very useful and informative.
The video's have helped with my purchases.
Anyone else feel a twinge of pain watching those random holes drilled into a beautiful piece of clean oak? :-)
