5600x vs 5700x vs 5800X3D Benchmarked with an RTX 4080 - Is there a difference?

I have a 5700x 16gb ram with a 3070ti ,should I upgrade to the 4080 ? 😊

5600, 5600x, and 5700x are the best CPUs for price to performance.

I think i'll be staying with am4 if they release AM6 imma go AM5 lol I can't keep upgrading to the best of the best all the time imma go broke for my 1440p gaming use case my AM4 is more than enough. 5600X 32GB ram and a rx 6800 xt.

Its becoming difficult due to the cost of AM5 cpus reducing. 7700x for 300-340 or a 7800x3d for 320-350 where you can still get the 5800x3d for £290 new. SO its either sell your AM4 CPU to and upgrade to a 5800x3d or 5900x or buy a 7800x3d and with the cost of selling AM4 cpu, mobo and ram

I had a 6600k pared to a 1070, with the latest sales I’ve just bought a b550m of aorus + 5700x for like 265 € and will upgrade to a 4070 or a 6800 for 1080p and then buy a 1440p monitor. What do u think about my purchase?

A friend of mine gave me a rog 570x crosshair vii hero mobo and 3 980 1tb nvme drives and I feel i have to do something with it. I was thinking of dropping a 5800x3d and pair it with the upcoming 4070 ti super since it's both cheaper, and within margins of error the performance of the base 4080.

I'm here trying to see how much the cpu bottlenecks the gpu here.

5700x is a great option if you don't want to spend the extra 200$ dollarydoos CAD on the X3D and the cooling solution to go with it. I replaced my 3600 with a 5700x in the same mobo, same RAM etc, single tower air cooler (to be fair I live in a room where the ambient temps are like 18 C), and it's resolved a lot of frame drop and graphical issues I was getting when I replaced my RTX 2070 with a 4070 (I knew the 3600 would probably bottleneck, but wanted to give it a chance and see how bad it was - it was bad lol.)

The 1% lows are the only main noticable real life difference in between these CPUs whilst squeezing the most FPS out of your rig

16 GB GPU and 16 GB sys RAM? Where are you gonna load the rest of the data? You need at least 32 GB sys RAM.

Hey i have a 3060ti and a Asus prime b450 m-k and a ryzen 5 3600xt do you Think i can upgrade to a 5800x3d or Should i for a ryzen 7 5700x or somthing like that

I just picked up a used 6800 xt with a 5600x and it really doesn't seem worth it to upgrade to the 5800x3d until the 8800xt comes out. I'll be rocking this for three years then, I suppose. Maybe AM6 will be coming out by then.

In order to take advantage of the extra cores of the 5700X you need to enable PBO. The stock PPT of 76W doesn't allow the CPU to stretch its legs, which leads to lower performance than the 5600X. Ive found enabling PBO and setting PPT/TDC/EDC to 105/70/110 gives performance closer to a 5800X whilst keeping power draw and temperatures in check.

would it be wiser to upgrade to a 5800x3D from 2600x now and wait for better gpus in the future (I own a 1080 atm). Or should I upgrade to like a 6800xt and then later upgrade my cpu? Theres no games that I currently play that demands too much of my pc atm so I would be fine to wait for better gpus in a couple of years where the 5800x3D would bottleneck a gpu so that I can get the most out of my x470 motherboard and cpu.

This has me excited about my new 5800X3D. I'm inpatient because it's sitting on my desk right now as I'm waiting for adequate cooling to be shipped. I recently installed my new 7800 XT and I'm really CPU bottlenecked by my old 3600. Can't wait to install the 5800X3D and give it some work

After watching this video I’m having trouble understanding why anyone would spend the extra money on the 5700x over the 5600x. Looks like the 5600x out performs the 57 and is cheaper. I understand the 57 have more cores but what exactly is the benefit of that?

ah im my country r5 7600 is 130 euros more than r5 5600 . ram is 110 euros more , mobo 650 is 60 euros more :P so i went with am4

Where you see the x3d chips shine is in VR. Running a 5800 x3d with a 4800 Airo Amp extreme and love it

For new builders at the higher end budget then yeah am5 is the best option but for new budget builders am4 is still a very good option

coming from a 3700x and being able to just pop in a 5800x3d though is a pretty good deal instead of upgrading the whole system.

I'm currently using a 5600x with a 4070 and tbh I don't see the point of getting a 5800x3d i was considering it but now I think its just best to wait foe the next generation and upgrade till then.

i would definitely expect 6 cores to perform better than 8 cores. too many threads for gaming. i have a 5900x and its barely better than a 5800x at gaming, only because my cpu clocks to 4.95ghz which is 50mhz higher than average 5900x's haha. it all depends on the game though of course

i got 2700x + rtx 2080 (standard) on a b450 tomahawk MB, i game on 1080p, thinking of doing a mini touch up by upgrading the cpu to 3600x to remove the bottleneck and take full advantage of what the 2080 can do
is the 5600x the way to go paring with 2080 for 1080p? or maybe the 5800x?

Even if you're just planning to spend around 450 USD or more on a graphics card, I'd say STILL go for an AM5 system over an AM4 system.

7600x is not faster than 5800x3d, but it has upgrade option to 7800x3d.

I think it's important to start with your budget at the monitor first can you afford a 4K 165 Hz monitor or are you sticking to 1080p 144 Hz? then the GPU are you able to spend $1200+ on the GPU or are you going with a RTX 4060 Ti or lesser it can be said the upgrade path is better on the newer platform but that will be the case every year and until you can afford the higher end monitor and GPU it makes no sense to upgrade your other components if you have an AM4 or can find A good new B550 for around ?100 and the 5800X3D for under $300 this will pair nicely with the RTX 2080 or RTX 3070 which can be found for around $200-$400 paired with a decent $300 1440P 120hz monitor you're in the sweet spot for gaming on this type of setup.

I had a b350 mobo and threw in the ryzen 5600. I am just doing that future upgrades that everyone is talking about. I paired that with an rx 6700 xt and i am happy.
