Could you have a better reception of 5ghz signal in another room?

At my company we use the secondary port as an LAN-Output. So the Ethernet goes in the primary and leaves via the secondary. If we now have a room with only one LAN-cable and a device that needs a LAN-connection, we can still connect the device with LAN and provide Wifi at the same time. All without using an extra switch.

I have just changed my router so have a new ssid. Previously I had the AP identifiable on the same ssid as the old router so my devices would connect to the best signal. The AP still works when connected by cable into the new router, but is identified / connects under the old ssid - do I just need to do a factory reset on the AP to adopt it under my new ssid ? I didn’t install it originally and the AP is not being discovered when I have downloaded the Controller software. Thanks

Connecting to the 2.4Ghz frequency limits the top speed to approx 100Mbs, using the 5Ghz will allow the full bandwidth

They look like they are somewhat directional once fitted to a wall. I don't want to fix to a wall or ceiling. Will the signal be ok if it remains on a desk pointing upwards. Also can a switch be daisy chained to the output rj45 socket. Thanks.

You may want to make sure you have band steering for the Radios 2.4 and 5. It's likely you had it set to 2.4 with powere set to Auto..if you set it to low and set 5ghz to High from Auto..you likely will get the 5ghz with more speed..also you might want to assign the channels for each Radio instead of Auto
