Nice work. I would have also listed the Australian New Wave (Weir, Armstrong, Beresford, Schepisi, Noyce....) but it is difficult to cover everything.

Japanese golden age is probably the best movement I've ever seen on film, almost every films from that era are masterpieces.

In my opinion The most important Italian movement is not neorealism but futurism, that was the first cinema avanguard of Europe.
Problem is that all movies are lost. Remain just thais

What about musical movies? What about musical scores?
Maybe you American musicals under "The Golden Age",
but, I think they deserve a classification of their own.
Music must be recognized.
The Fistful of Dollars trilogy would have been much less without the Ennio Morricone score.
Then there is the rise of the Bollywood musical, which both borrows from Hollywood, and adds to it.
Like you said, though, there many more than 10 important film movements.

I just found out this channel and I am agreeing just about everything you list on this videos and been watching tons of these the past couple of days, however...Can you just fire the guy who is in charge of the background music? German expressionism has Satie on a background, French impressionistic/minimalistic composer? La Nouvelle Vague has some who knows what, American jazz on the background...

Art movements (or any movements in culture) go side by side, when there was futurism in Italy on film, it was in music. When there was expressionism in German on film it was in music...(one of top3 movements in music history) Just throw some Schönberg on the expressionism, some Russolo on Italian futurism, and so on, you´ll get my point but wtf with the background music? It's like watching a movie about reggae with Norwegian black metal on the background...

Check out Ozu's Floating Weeds. Roger Ebert has a wonderful commentary. At one point he observes that if you paused Floating Weeds at any point and put a frame around it, it would make a pretty good picture to hand on your wall.
