Nice work. I would have also listed the Australian New Wave (Weir, Armstrong, Beresford, Schepisi, Noyce....) but it is difficult to cover everything.
ОтветитьNO GERMAN EXPRESSIONISM?!
ОтветитьEveryone knows the best important part of every movie is the end cause seeing the End of the movie is the hole part of watching a movie
ОтветитьGay
ОтветитьJapanese golden age is probably the best movement I've ever seen on film, almost every films from that era are masterpieces.
ОтветитьCarl Th. Dryer is actually Danish. Not Swedish.
ОтветитьYou should not start with Seven Samurai . You have to watch some before watching Seven Samurai
ОтветитьI would have added giallo
ОтветитьA perfect ending, with Antoine Doinel.
ОтветитьOzu hardly cut it at all, damn
ОтветитьAlso the post cinema 2010 . Nobody really cares any more .
ОтветитьItaly should've been higher
ОтветитьNew Taiwan Cinema is my #1
ОтветитьAre there spoilers in this video?
ОтветитьIn my opinion The most important Italian movement is not neorealism but futurism, that was the first cinema avanguard of Europe.
Problem is that all movies are lost. Remain just thais
You didnt mention A Taste of Honey in your first category. Did i miss a clip maybe thrown in there?
ОтветитьOnly Americans would call asians "non white people".
ОтветитьCan we get a top 10 of Indian parallel cinema
ОтветитьWould Noir be classified under Golden Age of Hollywood?
ОтветитьWhat about musical movies? What about musical scores?
Maybe you American musicals under "The Golden Age",
but, I think they deserve a classification of their own.
Music must be recognized.
The Fistful of Dollars trilogy would have been much less without the Ennio Morricone score.
Then there is the rise of the Bollywood musical, which both borrows from Hollywood, and adds to it.
Like you said, though, there many more than 10 important film movements.
400 blows is a great film
ОтветитьPlease show more movements that didn't make the list.
ОтветитьI just found out this channel and I am agreeing just about everything you list on this videos and been watching tons of these the past couple of days, however...Can you just fire the guy who is in charge of the background music? German expressionism has Satie on a background, French impressionistic/minimalistic composer? La Nouvelle Vague has some who knows what, American jazz on the background...
Art movements (or any movements in culture) go side by side, when there was futurism in Italy on film, it was in music. When there was expressionism in German on film it was in music...(one of top3 movements in music history) Just throw some Schönberg on the expressionism, some Russolo on Italian futurism, and so on, you´ll get my point but wtf with the background music? It's like watching a movie about reggae with Norwegian black metal on the background...
Are you working on a video about Asian film movements?
ОтветитьWell filmmaking was invented by the French , by the lumiere brothers , 😍
ОтветитьThe most important movement is easily "talkies"
ОтветитьWould u dare to do "top 10 worst things about movies?"
ОтветитьNever heard of "3rd cinema" before
ОтветитьCheck out Ozu's Floating Weeds. Roger Ebert has a wonderful commentary. At one point he observes that if you paused Floating Weeds at any point and put a frame around it, it would make a pretty good picture to hand on your wall.
ОтветитьErik Satie for German film?
ОтветитьNice. Longer would obviously be nicer still. But as an overview, it did help close a lot of gaps in my knowledge.
ОтветитьI am serious: "All times" when cinema have a little less than a century?
Ответитьsuch an intelligent subject, but you speak like a potato seller in street market.
ОтветитьWhat about Bill and Ted's excellent adventure?
ОтветитьThere's no doubt that French New Wave is the most important film movement. Films were never the same afterwards.
ОтветитьYes, please make a list on those hidden gems.
ОтветитьHEY Asshole! Would you say, "We're tired of black people so we go to..."?
ОтветитьHey. I'm not a native speaker. What did you mean saying Osu cut his films like a maverick? Cheers
