To avoid getting too many problems with my wallet on trips, I always carry two of them. One with my voter's ID (very common thing here in Mexico to use as your primary ID), my debit card (with most money locked away from my phone's bank app) and some cash to carry on with me. The other one I put it on my luggage with a credit card, another debit card, some more cash and other stuff I may think I could need. The only big issue would be my ID, but I'm mostly safe for most issues should that happen.

Onto story B, it's really odd how that guy tried to flirt. It sounded just too "I have never spoken to women before" from him.
The last time I tried to get into small talk with a girl was about 10 years ago on the line to submit our papers on a 5-hour process (I didn't know it was going to be that long), she did most of the talking (I'm autistic, so I don't talk much to begin with, and I was at my limit of boredom if I was willing to try small talk with the one who happened to be in front of me). As far as I could tell, she was ok with the conversation, and she was also less apathetic when her turn came to submit her papers. I just always found uncomfortable how other men do that when trying to flirt.
