Thanks for sharing your food tasting adventure. I really enjoyed spending time with you two. 😀
ОтветитьYou're both so adorable. I have been enjoying your videos. Hoping to be there in August with my hubby. 🥰
ОтветитьYyyeeesss! How did they cut that thin piece in a half?
ОтветитьThe little leafs is called meiboomblaadjes . The name of the tree is populierenboom
ОтветитьHomie is the very definition of a Beta Male 😂😂😂
Ответить7.50 euros for a stroopwafel? my god you got ripped off. just go to a market stand where they make it for you for like 3 euros tops.
Ответитьdisneyworld for adults. its amazing.
ОтветитьEven though I love watching these kinds of vids, why is it always Amsterdam and always the tourist traps that people go for? The stroopwafel from the supermarket is more authentic then the one from that store and way cheaper! Amsterdam, cool city but there is so much more just a town or other city down the block, so to speak. Glad you enjoyed though!
Ответить7,50 eu for that stroopwafel..that baker is laughing his ass off!
ОтветитьWhat time of year was this? We're going in mid Sept and wondered how to dress
ОтветитьWhy do all foreigners describe a pie as a dessert?
As a Dutchman, I do not consider it to be a dessert.
For me a dessert is something to finish a meal with, so the last course of a meal.
A Pie we consume to accompany tea or coffee midday or in the evening.
So I wonder, why dessert?
I hate video’s about shitty A’dam
Ответить7,50 for a stroopwafel cheaper at the Albert Cuyp market 2,75 and more delicious!!!❤😂
ОтветитьFifty country goal? That's one hell of a carbon footprint for millenials that "worry" about the planet.
Ответить7,50 for a 1,50 stroopwafel.. Only tourist buy that rubbish 😅
Ответить7,50 for that stroopwafel is straight up robbery.
ОтветитьMy doughter Sanne is junior Professor at Women University in Seoel , South Korea ❤❤❤
ОтветитьBitterballen are more eaten as a borrelsnack.
Traditionaly pancakes in the Dutch homes are eaten as a dessert with stroop (like from the stroopwafel), rolled up.
Pancakes, crêpes and poffertjes are different things and are all 3 made of a different batter.
The apple pie is not seen as a dessert by the Dutch but as a cake, which normally you eat with your tea or coffee halfway through the morning or afternoon or in the evening, we eat it also as part of a birthday cake.
Prices in Amsterdam are in general all rip-off prices. But 7,50 euro for a stroopwafel is just insane.
ОтветитьThe science museum is not actually above the boats, but it did get built into the IJdok there. It was built more over the entrance of the IJ-tunnel than it was into the water.
The IJ-Tunnel has been there for much longer compared to when they started building the science museum. :)
In the netherlands pancakes are considered children's food.
ОтветитьA bunch of junk. Fried food, dough, and a couple of the only distinct dishes they have. Smokey? Herring isn't smoked. Dutch food is horrible. The quality and selection of food for example at Albert Heijn is disgusting and it's the mian grocer in the small country. Basic preparation often leaves much to be desired. Dutch food, amongst other EU countries, has a reputation for being the worst in EU. Notice they showed nothing but a beer and some snacks.
Ответитьstroopwafel, the oo you pronounce as the o in home.
Ответить🇳🇱
Ответитьsuch a nice and cute vlog about the food keep doing this ! loving it!
Ответитьif you want to do something and see more people then you should look for a website that indicates where there is something to do because there are plenty of events
Ответить16,50 for boerenkool met worst is INSANE.
the serving is very odd too because you have to make a dent (kuiltje) in your "glob" of boerenkool for the gravy.
if you want to make it yourself its super easy too.
mashed potatoes, mixed with boiled kale and add some brown beef gravy.
if you cant get the smoked sausage, meatballs or porkchops are great too.
and a special "southern" tip would be to add crispy bacon bits in the mash at the end. ;)
The name of the tree you saw near by Nemo science Museum is in Dutch: ruwe iep. In English it's called: mountain elm or wych elm. The chips you saw on the ground are the seeds.
ОтветитьFor people with a budget visiting Amsterdam,, visit a local market and you will get a fresh caramel syrup waffel just as good for like 2-4 euros. And for that same price you can also go to a local supermarket and buy a package of 10 which you can heat up in a microwave for 10 sec if you want it warm !
ОтветитьThe herring is salted. Not like sushi where the fish is usually raw.
ОтветитьThere are so many better cheeses than Gouda cheese .
ОтветитьVery refreshing You Tube Vlog! I am enjoying the tours and you really go into detail on the food which makes us seem like we are there with you!!! Thank you!! Look forward to your videos!!!
Ответитьyou got ripped off for the stroopwafel... 7.50 euro is too much.../ AND at markets are better (and cheaper)... and 16,50 euro for stampot is also a rip...
ОтветитьI loved all of the dutch food, especially bitterballen, harring, kibbling, stamppot, and raw beef sandwiches. Glad you guys enjoyed it!
ОтветитьThe guy is weird for me but Claire is AMAZING...............
ОтветитьRaw haring is still for most tourist a brave thing too eat . So , you are verry brave.👍
Ответить7.50 is a rip off for that stroop wafel no Dutch person in their right mind would pay that
ОтветитьWhen you get ripped off in amsterdam
ОтветитьGoddamn, those prices are definitely tourist prices. Insane.
ОтветитьFinally catching up and WOWWWW did this make us hungry!! We grew up eating literally all these things and it's making us miss home 🤤🤤 Except the raw herring... my Opa used to eat herring out the can and I could not handle it as a child hahaha. Maybe I'll have to give it a try in a sandwich one day 😉
ОтветитьWe Wisconsinites are busy cutting grass and prettying up our shrubs and flowers...but i have to save then watch Chad and Claire's adventures because you guys are so good. This was no exception....never been to Amsterdam but feel like I have just toured it with you. The food!!! We cook/bake so many dishes similar to dutch cuisine....so much shared heritage with germans here. On, up and forward! 🖐 ❤ 😊
ОтветитьPeak season for Amsterdam is more like August. I’ve been Amsterdam in March, August, and December and the crowds in August are so bad you’re basically shuffling through the streets because you can’t walk any faster. You’re lucky to see Amsterdam so quiet, that’s when it’s the most charming.
ОтветитьThis stroopwafel is far too expensive compared to other Dutch cookies and pastries.
You are paying a price that is ridiculous ,even in the Kalverstraat 13 euro ? A Dutch person will not easily pay that much for a regular stroopwafel. With chocolate is no longer original at all. If you want to eat a delicious fresh stroopwafel go to the Albert Cuyp markt. The stroopwafels are still affordable there.
Bitterballen is Not with mashed potatoes it’s a ragout in it
ОтветитьGreat video 😋
Ответить7,50€ for one stroopwafel? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂only in Amsterdam.
Ответить
