In the 50’s we camped on the summit of Slieau Freoaghane which is just N of Snaefell in v similar conditions. The tent was a Blacks ridge tent without a built in groundsheet. At one point a stream flowed right through the tent. Fortunately, we managed to lie either side of it! Not a drop of water penetrated the canvas.

Seems like fun.

That’s the reason I only use Hilleberg or my own diy tents. All of them withstood extreme weather.

I would look for a nice warm inn, and stay the night. The next day if it is warn enough I would camp out during the day and sleep in the van if need be.

I don't believe in ghosts or the boogey man. I think it's a shame that every old house, castle, battlefield, execution site...HAS to have ghosts. They are just places where people died, some of them peacefully, some with violence. But what's funny is there are areas where things like that happened and because no one knows about it....there are never any ghosts being reported.

I've done 60 ,70,80,and 90 mph winds when fishing as I like being out doors alot ,love a good storm ,makes you feel alive
