Tufted Titmouse - Hear their Calls! - Watch before your next bird outing!

These guys are hilarious to observe. They love peanuts and are easy to hand feed. Sometimes they will fly off with the whole shell peanuts that are intended for the blue jays. Not sure how they can see.

What state is this ?

I’ve been noticing these and the Carolina wrens in my area lately. They are adorable.

Love watching! I have two feeders where I have tufted titmouse and Carolina Chickadees come by daily to eat. Love watching them! Such beautiful birds!!

I just saw one of these today. It was eating an entire peanut.

These little guys along with chickadees and woodpeckers have been a constant at my feeder all winter! Love them so much!

Tufted Titmice are my 2nd favorite bird there just so cute and today (april 30th) I saw one for the first time in my life(actually I saw 2 of them)

Love these characters! My home roommate, or a few, hard to tell. Daily bather in the bird bath. Just watched him scare off a house sparrow who decided tp interrupt bath time. I’ve watched the titmouse continue to work a peanut out of the feeder while squirrel sat on the thing, hogging it. This video captures the 2 spunky little birds well - the Carolina wren, another brazen character, and the titmouse. They’re so much fun. 🙏🏾

I like how they look like a mix of chickadees and jays as well as sounding like a mix of their calls. You can hear the "chick-a-dee-dee-dee" call in a more "agressive" jay way 😅

watching this on a large monitor, sitting on the floor and looking up, i realize that if they were much bigger or we were much smaller, tufted titmouse would definitely have homo sapien on the lunch menu

Regular visitors to my feeder in central Virginia. They like the hulled sunflower seeds and peanut suet. Love them. Great video.

They just pick the seeds and let them drop and puck anotherone and throw it. They have alot of energy.

Titmice are among my favorite song birds. Theyre very trusting and I got one regular Titmouse visister at my feeders who would take a shelled peanut right out of my hand when i held it up. They always show up with the chickadees who alsocome very close to me while im refillimg the feeders🙂

I had one visit my balcony today (much to my indoor cat's delight) and thought it was a juvenile blue jay by its screechy squawk and the tufted head but I know there is a family of these nearby because I hear them whistle daily. They seem to have taken over where my beloved wood thrush once was... I miss their songs but this little titmouse family is entertaining.

They’re so adorable…I’ve only had them come to my feeder twice but I did only start getting into birds around a month ago. I’ll give the little guys some time!
