what if I wanted to disconnect from that wifi?

After NetworkManager to turn on each time I attempt this, the list option doesn't list anything, but other stuff outside of nmcli shows connections.

This is a great tutorial - -
However - it didn't get me all the way fixed.
I'm using Archcraft Distro on a Mac laptop which is using the Broadcom BCM4331 Apple airport Extreme WiFi card
I had to download drivers to get this this card working for this distro - from "wireless wiki kernel" organization.
I turned my phone into a WiFi hotspot to be the target.
Following your guide - I got the message "Device 'wlan0" successfully activated (with lots of number and letter characters following)"
On the top of my desktop screen of my distro - there is an icon for the network that lights up when you're connected. That didn't happen and I fired up the chrome web browser and it also said that I was offline.

My fix was "$ sudo nmcli con up <wifi name> --ask" then it connects and asks for the password
