I never really like Lurlin village but I want to say my favourite region is Faron due to it just being a massive part in a large majority of zelda games, an I enjoyed how we actually got something to do in totk with the dragon floating islands and finding minaru’s mask, also having the best kind of terrain, I just love rainforest. Still hated lurlin in totk though but eventide is always a fun experience.

my favorite is tabantha region because you get free chicken. i mean not the bird people ha ha

Just like the Great Plateau in Zelda Botw, the Great Sky Island is the best Region in Zelda Totk.

I think akkala is the best because
1. You can take a pic anywhere and it looks good
2. Tarrey town
3. Kiltons shop has a lot of cool stuff
4. The ruins of the citadel and the story of the final battle is amazing
5. The tech lab and the ancient armor and weapons

The best one imo is The Great Plateau. It's not too big but has something unique.

My personal favorites are akkala and faron because they are the most unique

Number 1 faron is the best only complaint is the thunderstorms

Faron cause Lurelin village is just pure bliss and the jungle is pretty sick

Lanayru is wayyy too low. It’s so pretty with the pine trees, cool mountains, and coral plants

My favorite part of akkala is actually its bone looking rock formations and skull lake

I have never explored Gerudo Desert any farther than the Vah Naboris quest. I never leave the road, I stay near Gerudo Town, the farthest away I’ve been is the Yiga Clan hideout. The reason that’s the farthest I’ve been is that I’m a baby. I can’t handle sandstorms, Molduga, or anything else in the region. It’s so open and mysterious…which is why I can’t do it. It’s the scariest region of BotW for me by FAR

Akkala all the way. Make a city, get 3 diamonds for it. Pretty. Hudson. Best arrow shop. Love it. Also good area for flying guardian farming. Has lynels, has stalkers, has blademasters. Fight me

tabantha and akkala are my favourites, mainly for vibes (and rito are my fave)

Everyone loves Akkala? I only ever hear negative opinions about it.

I really like the whole Ridgeland/Tabantha/Tanagar Canyon area. It just feels so unique and adventurous. It also has my favorite shrine, that being the Thundra Plateau

Akkala is the best and the worst is for me farron as it is hard to traverse and not much good loot

I really like your ranking and how much effort you put into it! :) In my opinion Faron IS the best besides Hateno from the atmosphere, but its sad that it lacks so much of important stuff. They really should have included a fifth tribe and divine beast there or at least give lurelin village more depth. Such a beatiful environment, but theres nothing to be done there. :/ Akkala is tooooo overrated! Iam happy that there is Tarrey Town but... almost all of it is citadel ruins (with no way inside), the tech lab and plains everywhere. Sure its nice to See the autumn inspired environment, but imagine it without that. "Wow, you can see a Skull in the map!" but it looks absolutely boring... Tarrey Town and its surrounding is nice, that's it. Concerning Hebra, they should have definetely added another tribe or village there, maybe expand the hut on the peak with more houses or something. This game lacks of villages, there are too few of them. Gerudo Highlands gots nothing and is definetely the worst region! I really hope they added a Lot of stuff there in Totk, but I think they didn't.

I want to recommend a great experience in Hebra: start at the hut right in front of hebra mountain near the rito training grounds, climb up the ladders there and make your way to the peak using the official travelers path WHILE listening to the snow peak theme from Twilight Princess until you reach the peak with shieldsurf lady. Its Soooo amazing!

with the environments getting more unique and exotic the further into the corners of the map you go, Akkala, Faron, Wasteland, and Hebra are my favourite locations. Wasteland and Akkala stretch to the horizon and really get the player thinking about what's beyond. Hebra and Faron make you feel like you're in a Disney movie.

I know this is a hot take, but I love Ridgeland, what a weird, nonsense region. Like nothing in the region is even slightly cohesive besides the overarching horse theme, I guess. It only makes sense it’s the last region in the game by numerical order, as I’m pretty sure they made it last, just all the weirdest and wackiest ideas in this place, even more than the Woodland region in my opinion, from Tanagar to the Thundra Plateau and the Breach of Demise to Satori Mountain, it’s just a chaotic mess that I can’t help but love, in no other region can I footrace a strange man and then ride a magical horse spirit, in no other region can I play golf with a goron, and then immediately fly away by the power of a red dragon. Nah, I know people call the game empty, and Ridgeland especially, but that’s kind of part of why I love it, you are in the no-man’s land of the game, this is the region where I knew the game was gonna do weird and alien things. I love it.

I like the Great plateau it’s just so fun to explore and well you can practice there if you were a little frosty it’s really fun

My favorite gotta be Hyrule castle and hyrule fields,,, hyrule castle is just so cool(w its soundtrack too) and hyrule field since I love messing around w guardian stalkers

I don’t think that enough people appreciate how amazing the Great Plateau is at being a tutorial. When I first played, it never even felt like a tutorial, but here’s some things that make it great:

- Just outside each of the shrines, there’s some form of treasure you can obtain by using the rune from that shrine. This teaches the player that these runes are useful outside of shrines.

- To reach the Cryonis shrine, you have to move through a really cold area with icy water. This teaches the player about environmental damage, and the dangers of cold water.

- The shrine of resurrection is great too. The barrels show that you can pick up and throw some things to break them. The new player will likely sprint out of stamina then, and then it recharges just in time for you to reach the wall that teaches climbing.

- Reaching the magnesis shrine from the tower teaches the player how swimming functions.

- Reaching the stasis shrine shows that in order to climb high, the player has to manage stamina effectively.

- Reaching the bomb shrine shows that there are some enemies that it’s better for the player to run from.

- If the player runs into the stone talus, that shows there are mini bosses in unexpected places.

I love Faron because the zonai are so cool and the region has some fun challenges
