Thanks for the video, but this is probably soft zoning. Can you tell us some about hard zoning?

Thanks for explaining what business problem zoning addresses (restricts servers talking to servers over FC network.). I'm reading through the CCNP DC chapter on FC and zoning. They have a paragraph to describe every feature and configuration for zoning. Not once do they mention why it is needed or what it accomplishes. I was thinking, "why do I need this? Just create another VSAN if you want to restrict access".
