I might add a good pair of gloves. They are not absolutely required, but they protect your hands and make many actions much more safe.

The recent popularity of bug out bags, survival gear and prepping etc. has me worried. These people think they are going camping when SHTF. Seeing who can cram the most useless crap into a bag they cant carry more than half a mile. Wtf do they think? They are gonna learn as they go or what?

I'd put a ferro rod at 3, cordage at 4. Too many variables getting fire with a bow drill.

Might trade queen size wool blanket for paracord can cut strip of unravel some of the blanket for cordage and still cover with while building shelter gathering wood for fire and water if I don't need it to keep people me warm right then can rig as like a litter and carry more wood for fire, shelter, traps. Might trade hatchet for hammer pole tomahawk of about 2 pounds can take short handle out and replace with homemade one longer trade out regular canteen for 64 Oz kleen canteen with nested cup fewer trips to water source . can boil half day worth for drinking leaving more time for other chores but your a good choices as well just my personal thoughts 😊

Excellent course. It gives me motivation to get out of my bed 😂 Signature : couch potatoe. 😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉 We didn't have this kind of army training here + bushcraft life not welcomed + infested with mosquitoes + fines as soon as a fire smoke is seen with satellites. Welcome to 1984. People seem to like this enslaved life.

Why not just add a flint fire starter to the kit? They are cheap and widely available.

My three survival items are a) a trailer full of food and water that will last for at least 10 years, b) a luxury location that will fit all of it and c) a bunch of minions who will protect my life to the death defending it.

The native Americans always carried a fire kit and a knife at all times.
I would have some type of fire making and a knife. Cordage I personally wouldn’t need as much from my experience.
I rather have a bottle than cordage but I need a knife and fire

You people try to find wood in the rain and do a bow drill, have fun, I’ve seen expert instructors struggling and can’t start a fire.
There’s no way the average bushcraft man or woman is gonna make fire by wood drilling.
Knife, fire and bottle.

All you need is a knife and modern flint. In arid areas a bottle as well.

Great video as always but please mention in future videos that boiling water does *not* remove the chemical threats posed in water. Many sources of water are contaminated with pesticides, herbicides, and petroleum products. Boiling water does not remove these toxins.

Rangers Lead the Way!! 🫡. I’ll fallow you into the bush Sir! God, I'm hungry.

Hungry for action.

- Hungry for blood.

Hell.

I'm just

plain ol' hungry.

- Feel I'm gettin' weaker...

while Charlie's growin'

stronger in the jungle.

I can't lose my edge.

I gotta keep my strength up.

I gotta maintain discipline.

Because the hard reality was...

I gotta get a job. lol 😂

All you need is stones, wood and a pot. You can make your own rope, and your own axe with boiled cambium and knapping stones and your own water container with a burned core stump topped off with a narrow log core

Paper matches work for me. They weigh next to nothing. Take one or two or three matches and scotch tape them, along with the striker, somewhere- preferably to the knife shealth which waterproofs them. In practice they serve more as a backup to a Bic lighter or whatever is your primary fire maker. I went through the Air Force survival training course as part of my flight training and I have to say the Boy Scouts of America was more challenging.
