Someone should probably tell him that approaching emotions and repressed memories like a Buddhist doesn't prepare you for the "moment". instead, it keeps you in a state of never ending copasetic moment- which is functional for coping but not optimal for healing.
Walking head first into a memory, ready to feel every ounce of feeling you're for certain going to feel while facing it and asking it what it's purpose was/is in your life...this leads to processing and healing. It heals and makes one no longer afraid of their emotions and memories.
Christ walked into His pain, accepted its purpose, and overcame..., nothing less than what is known as..., death (emotions and memories can sometimes make us feel like they're going to kill us (i.e. death)).
Sit with and enter into the easy ones first; the feel good emotions, feelings, and memories first and keep revisiting them, feeling everything they have to offer until you're ready to move to the ones you're avoiding.
Learning how to feel is the hardest mountain to climb.

We need to recognize explosive trainers need a "pitch count" so to speak. The person who killed 18 here in Maine was an Army hand grenade trainer. He went from a great guy his friends say, to a paranoid mess. People tried to get him help but not enough, not in time tragically.

What he said at the very end. That he couldn’t get in front of others and say what he says if he didn’t live it out. That he would feel like (and be) a fraud. This is living from your true heart, that part of us that is at the very core of who we are as men and women made in God’s image. Every person longs for this. To be true. That is what characterizes God. In him is light, and not even a spec of darkness; no turning or changing. To be a true man, like Jesus, who was able to say, “the prince of this world is coming, but he has nothing in me.” Our problem as men and women is that we have things in us that the enemy still has a hold of. What Chad talks about here, of being conformed to the image of Christ, is the lifelong process of dying to those things that are in us, that the enemy has access to. That’s why he does hard things in the soft world we live in, where a guy can sit on the couch and eat ice cream. This video was so inspiring and brought me to tears and repentance. Thank you Mulligan Brothers and Chad.

One of closest friends went to buds w Chadd .. he said when you looked around you saw a couple guys that you just knew would make it and Chadd was one of those guys..

How can we support you and David you made me cry! My son was 35yrs old and killed I know all I have is anger in me and I’m trying to let God back in but I can’t .. I just exist as my youngest daughter is 23 and has epilepsy and needs me. I am from the UK living in Florida now 23yrs.
