Back in the 80’s we had “Touts,” specialists who gave “winning sports bets” for your money. Today we have “poker coaching.” Both scams made con men money off suckers.
ОтветитьAlright guys i'm going to be a architect, if you are one of the best out there don't even come close to me I don't want to learn from you.
ОтветитьGreat video. Learn from the best, but play with your own style. ALL-IN whenever you have the n u t s ! ¡LA NUTRIA! XD
ОтветитьIt's the same principle that applies to any form of education: the student will determine their own success. We've all met individuals who have graduated alongside of ourselves that seem to, despite receiving the same education, cannot match the level of success that their peers seem to attain. The path to success in any activity is to see how everyone does it, take the best parts, and then do it differently. I believe the same thing can be seen in poker as well. Emulating the success of others will rarely lead to the same success for the simple fact that you are two different people, and therefore will have to accept a different outcome, for better or worse.
Ответитьwinning poker strategy is all about adjust to your opponents.
Coaching helps by getting you to understand the different types of strategies so you can deploy them accordingly.
sometimes the most profitable line is GTO strategy, sometimes you need to deviate hard to exploit, having all those arrows in your quiver and knowing when to shift is how you win.
So , I play the 9th anniversary pokerstars tournament (a long time ago). I satellite in winning a 1 dollar buy in with 215 players. At the tourney approx 12 hours later I'm chip leader with 1000 players to go 60 some thousand started the tournament. At the break I look in the mirror and say to myself this is a real chance.
A few rounds later I'm in the BB holding KK, folds round to the small blind who raises , I reraise, he shoves, I call. He holds AK hits his ace on the flop. Statistically a big favourite however I wish I'd have called the raise to see if an ace came on the flop, the run out does me no favours. Hey ho. He doesn't felt me I have him covered but now I'm way down the chip stacks. I'm tilted and a little later get 66, reraise an earlier raise from mid table, he shoves and I call again, if I remember correctly I had approx 9 bbs chip wise. Tourney over. I bust out in 303rd place from 60 some thousand winning 3500 dollars. Not bad for a one dollar satellite.
I go to bed , pissed , tired, angry that I messed up probably one of the most golden chances I personally would have. Had the KK hit I could of damn near folded my way to the final stages. Winner guaranteed a million and minimum of 150,000 just for getting to the final table.
Next few days I have a break. Then turn 100 dollars into 900 dollars over one over a week or so. Then I go on the higher blinds and lost the lot very quickly. I did however draw out the 3400 so I didn't lose that.
I stopped playing poker right then. Not played a money game in the time since. Love watching, love analysing hands but I felt I would get too carried away and I was earning good money I did not wish to put at risk.
I wondered if I could learn to a better level. Push it some more. However decided scared money doesn't cut it in poker.
End of story.
In September i Joined Johnathan little Pokercoaching and it's helped me GREATLY. I don't regreat my decision.
ОтветитьThe thing is a good coach also knows different styles of play, because he needs to play against different styles and thus needs to know how to beat them. He should also focus on coaching theory fundamentals. He is not just copying a strategy over to your brain, rather he teaches the tools to develop the strategy by yourself. Its like any other topic. There is no holy grail, but there is a small shortcut if you put time and money in.
ОтветитьGreat job! Thank you!
ОтветитьCharlie Carrel charges just £500 an hour for coaching.
