Hard to believe this was once considered funny. So cringe.

Mark Twain said it best: "A comedian isn't a man who says funny things...a comedian is a man who says things funny!" Robin could have read a phone book and had people in stitches. RIP Robin.

What An Incredible Host! No wonder why they say he was one of, if not THE BEST Late Night Show Host! I've seen many of these and they seem to get better and better; he's always great. But this one takes the cake! The way he handled all of that was seamless!

I know for a fact that that helped Robin through this; not having to feel apologetic for being whoever came out of him that day! And Johnny not letting ONE moment of that "ruin" the show. Nor worrying about any of it. Even though Robin refers to the moment as his "career being over". Meaning he knew it was a lot but just couldn't stop.

Johnny made it feel like he didn't have to! 😄 And that he fully enjoyed it. And that it was all welcomed to be apart of the show just fine! 😌

I LOVED Watching This!

And Williams' quick-witted jokes; I love how they land. 😄

I read a lot, and I piece together that Robin killed himself because he ran out-of-money in him being the secret person who was financially helping Superman (Christopher). Decades earlier, Robin and Christopher were hitchhiking across the desert in New Mexico to become movie stars in Hollywood. And, one day as their walking out in the desert on a lonely highway heading westbound, they both made a "mutual pledge" to each other, that, if one(1) of them make it big and the other happens to be need of help, the other will help him out. As it later turned out, they both made it big, Robin the star on 1976 Mork and Mendy series, and Christopher as Superman star on the 1979 to 1980's Superman movies, and early -mid 1990's Superman show series. Then, Superman became paralyzed from the neck down, then, about 15 to 20 years later killed himself, about a year after Robin had stopped financially helping Superman. I feel that Robin could not live with himself in feeling he caused Superman to kill himself by cease financially helping him. Robin felt that nobody would understand that he just ran out-of-money... and he didn't want to live like that...therefore, he too killed himself. You would never of dreamed that said "mutual pledge" to one another out there in the desert hitchhiking that day, was actually a death wish...they both killed themselves after both of them had made it big once they had reached Hollywood.

This is the Robin as I will always remember him. He could never get away with his comedy today. People have lost the ability to laugh at themselves, and probably wouldn't understand what a treasure has been take from them. Jesus is probably laughing along with him in the afterlife right now.

Probably the best comedian ever. All of his jokes were off the cuff. I think, like most comedians, he suffered from depression.

I can just imagine how frantic it got in the television director’s booth when Robin jumped off the stage — you can tell they adapted and told the crew how to work it.

He was paying $30 million / yr to his first 2 ex-wives, $ he can no longer make doing stand up comedy. He suffered intense anxiety and depression. Only time a man can go to prison when $ is involved are not paying taxes and alimony. Alimony only exists in the US !
