he's a great sensei but i really think Chozen should be the new Miyagi

I don't feel using KK2 and KK3 as comparison is fair since Johnny isn't in these movies. Other than that, not a bad video.

Imagine if Johnny met Miyagi first. It would've been a totally different story

no man it was daniel who technically started the fight by kicking the door open and hitting johnnys face because johnny didnt want to let him in because he needed to cool off

One more mistake Daniel made was getting involved in Ali and Johnny's argument at the beach with the radio.

Also Johnny fought his own senses, John kreese. Whereas Daniel idolized another man, Mr Miyagi. So Johnny has more autonomy than Daniel, as, though Miyagi was good, Daniel lives in his shadow, idolzong him, quoting him, even going to his grave fir advice. So in some ways, Daniel is still the same kid who has never grown up. His growth was stunted from the time he chose to idealize anther man, or romanticize. He holds fast to Miyagis philosophy but hasn never really questioned them, and in the tournament when his daugghtern fights he turns his back on Miyagis philosophy of defense only and tells her ti use offense. A moment of growth for Daniel.

Miagyi was once a hothead as well ,i wishthey would take barnes down the miagyi path,he and johnny have far better potential than danial

Johnny is the most human character in this series, his redemption is one of the best constructed, Chozen also evolved and learned from his mistakes and Daniel remains explosive and arrogant, using a good guy facade as he always was, ignoring all of Miyagi's teachings.

I feel like chozen is the next mr miyagi

I think both will probably work better for different students.

Johnny I think at certain times can be a bit more relatable in character but can go into high intensity mode. I think some students will enjoy a faster paced training that takes more risks. Over time though he has learned when to slow down and show a more sensitive side but instinctively know when he needs to turn things up. He definitely gets the harder edge from Kreese but internally battles that. In the beginning he might have been too hard.

Daniel's training is more for pure self defense. I think some students do enjoy Daniel's training too. I think Robbie and Miguel benefited from it at times as it gave them more strategic minds. Daniel's main flaw is that he can be hypocritical and somewhat arrogant especially in his older years but slowly he is coming along and is starting to know when to diversify his training as he is more open to Johnny's ideas.

I think both though channels Miyagis spirit. Daniel naturally does as being trained by him most of his years. Johnny while never really knowing Miyagi personally has always subconsciously experienced his effects as has he has competed against Miyagi do. Also Johnny struggles against Kreese methods probably subconsciously goes into Miyagi mode without realizing it especially earlier on in the Cobra Kai series.

I see the series ending with Kreese coming around maybe even near his death as Kreese isn't necessarily purely evil but just severely mentally damaged and I think deep down means well, but having the most trauma than any character of the series doesn't really understand the sensitive approach at all as he basically was trained during a time of war by someone probably just as damaged as him.

I don’t agree considering everyone turned into bullies and complete assholes except for Miguel in Johnnys dojo lmao.

I dont get how Johnny is more like Mr Miyagi than Daniel is lol Johnny is very aggressive and still teaches Offense Eagle fang is not much different from Cobra Kai Daniel Larusso legit teaches karate the exact same way as Mr Miyagi he teaches Defense

Why are all the best characters evil first. Zuko and Vegeta come to mind.

Johnny and Daniel acts like their own version of Miyagi. their students act like their own version of Daniel.
Johnny is mentor of Miguel, and Daniel is mentor of Robby. Who acts like Johnny and Kreese in the Cobra Kai characters?

Miyagi taught Daniel that fighting should be a last resort and to resolve things without using violence when possible,but instead of following that philosophy Daniel spends most of his time in Cobra Kai trying to get even with Kreese or Silver and keeping the past stirred up which began to cause friction between him and his wife,then attempts to drag Barnes in to it resulting in Silver torching his furniture store,in short since the original Karate Kid Daniel has always brought trouble on himself or others.

I def don't think he IS the better teacher, but I think he might learn to be. When he eventually learns that karate is about the healthy lifestyle, the people you meet and get close to with the mutual activity, learning not to fight unless a fight comes to you, THEN he could be able to teach the way Miyagi did. Daniel feels like he missed all the lessons about how karate is about defending yourself when a threat comes to you that will not simply go away. But Johnny has seen the consequences if the Cobra Kai philosophy and he doesn't want to see his students get hurt or become bad people.

Ah shoot, Johnny Lawrence is a rogue and by default, those who indulge in telling it like it is no matter who gets offended, breaking rules or putting their toe over the line as a hobby are more FUN! Johnny's method of clawing his way to where he wants to be is entertaining. As much as I love Danny Larusso's desire for status quo and a quiet life makes him a bit boring....

Johnny threw his life into a trash can due to a rivalry from 30 years ago. The first seasons showed that he's a loser and a horrible father. It was unrealistic that they gave him a fairy tale ending.

Johnny's students have so much character. Samantha LaRusso is double the fighter she once was because Johnny helped her find some real balance with offense and defense and not sticking to certain principles.

Miguel still had the upper hand on Hawk, despite Hawk learning both Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do proficiently, because Miguel had specific tricks up his sleeve that he unlocked with a true connection to his sensei, such as the 360 kick and the flying tornado kick.

Daniel has way more cenas sobi think the mistakes were unfair for Daniel
