Pierce Brosnan is underrated. Always has been. I grew up watching him, and was always amazed that he hasn't been more of a star. I suppose he's too nice.

When my mom first saw him in Remington Steele all those years ago she commented that he would make an excellent James Bond. Then she got to see him in that role years later and it made her day. I still think he was one of the best Bonds and that she was right.

Pierce's English accent is so good, it's strange to hear him speak in his own natural Irish accent.

I absolutely love Pierce Brosnan! He's such a classy and gracious man. I'm old enough to remember him on "Remmington Steele" and I've been a fan ever since!

i chose a different life and have travelled my 59 years on this earth non stop... I couldnt even guess how many cities and countries its been but I always revisit my home and places that became home. Im not uber wealthy but for old time sake Ill make a detour and visit a place. I find it odd with Pierce Brosnans money that one day he doesnt hop on a plane and go visit Navan. His face completely changed when he heard that name. Its so obvious its a special place for him. I hope he gets back there. The town would love it but he would love it more.

With actors from the UK, especially if the bulk of their audience is from America, I've noticed a tendency to slip into a kind of RP London accent because a lot of Americans don't seem to understand people who have very regional accents, but it's good he hasn't lost where he came from. Anthony Hopkins never lost his Welsh accent, but it's a lot more apparent when he's doing an interview in the UK. John Rhys Davies is another Welsh actor who sounds like where he comes from, and a lot of people can't pinpoint where he's from, but as a Canadian with a Welsh grandfather, I'm usually pretty good with regional accents. I've noticed that if you're an actor from the UK, you can usually do a lot of different accents very accurately (unless you're Orlando Bloom), but Americans tend to struggle with them. They usually sink into an inauthentic RP London accent, or the one Americans associate with the UK (the "posh" one). Even Taron Egerton, who is Welsh, sounds like a London boy. And I know even in Wales, there are regions where people sound more English, and then you get to places like Cardiff and elsewhere and people sound like Gareth David-Lloyd and Eve Myles. John Barrowman is from Scotland and normally speaks with a California or mid-Atlantic accent, but the moment he does an interview in the UK, especially his home country, suddenly he sounds like he's ready to play the bagpipes.

I think it would've been nice at the time if someone would've made him a scenery montage of his old childhood naven home and its surroundings at nice atmospheric times of the day with skyrim's soundtrack called "reach day" playing in the background. It would probably have made him quite emotional and nostalgic with good memories he has from there. 😊

Irish people are some of the most hardworking, fun loving, humble and relisient people in Europe. I've never met an irishman I haven't liked. they have a humble strength, light heartedness and anger at oppression that makes them some of the most likeable and relatable people in the world. God bless the Irish people, humbly from a south american who has met great irishmen and women in his life.
