We understand this setup is far from ideal, but we hope it helps for all those in quarantine, needing some guidelines on where to start when it comes to turning your bedroom into a studio. If you have questions leave them below! 👍
ОтветитьVery helpful, thank uou
ОтветитьNOTHING is more important than...
The Lava Lamp.
"transform your bedroom" nice studio but where do I sleep now?
ОтветитьAlso get a rug
ОтветитьDoes the floor affect sound too? May have been a good thing to cover that too.
ОтветитьWould this set up pertain to a voice over studio as well?
Ответитьso, what if I have an uneven ceiling
it has like 15 degrees angle from the 1/3 of the rooms width
I can't believe they still talking
Ответитьhow thick is the rockwool you use?
ОтветитьThe room sounds very reverby. If you make modern music trap music etc i would suggest getting more acoustics to deadn ur recordings properly, but not too much the vocals still need some air to shine
ОтветитьYeah, but how much does this setup cost?
ОтветитьSome good info here. But the words ‘budget’ and ‘auralex’ have no business in the same sentence.
ОтветитьThis is nice to see in that you didn't remove all the reflection, you controlled it instead. A realistic example of the end result of a bedroom studio treatment.
Ответитьnice
Ответитьi hate the tattoo'd 5th beatle's vibe so much
ОтветитьWhat to do with speakers when you have no place for stands in the room? Thanks
ОтветитьWhat kind of low budget is this
ОтветитьWhat about processing your monitors ( delay and eq ) for less then optimal rooms or any roomin general ?
Kinda like in a live sound scenario: you first tune the system and then you mix on it, in an installed sound scenario, you measure, flatten, compensate for the speaker to wall low end buildup, time and phase align sub to mains, mains to delays etc and then you play music thru it.
How can you be sure that you have a flat amplitude, phase coherent system by just speaker positioning and adding absorbent without any calculus of the absorption coefficient of the used materials and audio measurement?
Isn’t the whole point of a studio sound system to have a reference flat audio reproduction where you can build mixes on and then those mixes will then be played on totally non flat sound systems?
But... Where I put my bed?
ОтветитьThe T5V are really good speakers you dont need anything more than that if you are on a budget. AND dont forget that it starts to add up because your going to want an interface i suggest the scarlett 4i4 and you have to buy cables if you want the best sound. It does sound decent with just a headphone plug in. But you want a audio interface that you can connect your speakers instruments microphones midi ect.
ОтветитьTalk 90%
Actual content 10%
Great info
Ответитьbest vid in the world
Ответитьidk what your definition of budget is but this aint mine
ОтветитьSo... step 1: get the best pair of mixing headphones so you can keep your bed in the bedroom.
ОтветитьWould the acoustic treatment behind the monitors be the same if you're using front ported monitors?
Looking into Adam A7Vs and wanted to know about this
Hi could you please tell me which are the appropriate measurements for a recording studio?🙏
ОтветитьThank you for addressing all of the common issues!
ОтветитьBEST VIDEO I'VE SEEN SO FAR!
ОтветитьVery informative video. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Happy Friday!! 👍
ОтветитьI like how reverb dissappears as they are assemling the room with new acoustic pannels so by the end of the video the voice almost doesn't have room reverb on it
ОтветитьGreat interview! Mark is so professional 🧡
ОтветитьThis left corner panel poked me in the eye the whole time
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьWhere's the bed?
ОтветитьRupert Grint and John Krasinksi
ОтветитьIf it's a bedroom, where the bed? I have a small room like this, but it needs a bed because I live in the room as well
ОтветитьNo before after comparison...I wonder why
ОтветитьI'm disappointed that you didn't show the completed room so we could see the ceiling, wall, speaker and interface placement basically show the entire room after it was all together.
Ответитьthen where do u sleep
ОтветитьThis was so freaking informative... Jeez.. Thank you guys so much!
ОтветитьThanks jaackmaate
Ответить.....so, like, yeah, put a couch here, so, uh, yeah, like put a trap in that corner...................
PLEASE.
No mention of room modes, impulse testing, room frequency response before / after...................
Folks, there's a bit more to it than this.
Low level.
ОтветитьObviously.
Ответитьwork! Cheers
ОтветитьCan someone explain to me why they say a smaller room can't reproduce lower frequencies, but I can put my headphones on in a closet and hear everything? I'd say that's a lot less room, for the sound wave to form, but it's still there.
