ОтветитьThe best part about etf is it gives you the freedom of buying at your best price of the day or week.
So keep a watch and keep puttin in money periodically and hold the etf just like mutual fund. Over long run this will give you 4-5% better returns compare to a similar category of MF.

ОтветитьETFs offer exposure to a wide range of assets, such as stocks, bonds, or commodities, which can help reduce risk. ETFs, like broad market index, sector-specific, and bond ETFs, are favored for long-term investments because of their diversification, reducing risk while offering growth and income potential.

ОтветитьThis video had me think of those people who buy lotto tickets everyday. I wonder if they see that as gambling or as their investing strategy 😂

ОтветитьI have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio of $450k dwindle away is such an eye -sore.

ОтветитьDiversification is the secret to optimal performance. This is why I have my interests set on market sectors based on performance and projected growth, such as the EV sector, renewable energy, Tech, and Health. Keep investing regularly and you'll be blown away how much it can change in a few short years. Here's to $1 million and to FIRE

ОтветитьDave conflates direct ownership of stocks (stocks owned directly and not packaged as a mutual fund) with “playing”, day trading, and only owning a few different stocks.

ОтветитьRemember a ramsey certified pro is not the same as a real certified financial advisor. Its like a pizza hut certified doctor. Anyone can make their own certifications.
ОтветитьDave is giving out horrible advice. Index Etfs will beat out his mutual funds always. No question about it
ОтветитьI want to begin investing but require some help. I want to spread my $125,000 across various markets for better diversification.
Do you have any advice or suggestions for assistance?
He is not giving the full picture. Mutual funds on average have a 1-2% fee and ETFs have 0.04% fee. Thats a difference of almost $2000 a year per $100k invested. Why did he fail to mention the difference in fees?
ОтветитьI have always saved and invested roughly 60% of my salary since I began working in 2009, I max out my 401(k), ira, and hsa accounts. I am 50 years old. I'll pass the $4 million threshold this month. I have a 100% investment in Vanguard ETFs and several blue chip equities. Avoiding debt and cutting expenses are my two money-saving secrets. I make passive investments with the help of my FA Dianne Sarah Olson who manages my portfolio and makes sure I outperform the market.
ОтветитьETFs e.g SPY VOO are portable between brokerage firms. Mutual funds are often not portable whether fidelity or vanguard ones
