I'm 19 and about to finish my high-school(13 years), I chose my career as a Software Engineering but there are a lot of other careers in Engineering that uni where I want to go offers, for example, an A.I. development, or a computer Engineering, I want to go into Cyper Security field except my A level isn't as good, I have ICT Maths and English, so I don't have many choices.

I studied electrical engineering in a technical school instead of wasting my time in high school after that i went with computer science in uni then i added cyber security certificates from cisco making me almost impossible to get declined in job interviews... working on your reputation is very important, being different than the others will make you more attractive/wanted by bigger companies ofc without forgetting experience

Got into a Russel Group University for Communications, really considering switching to Computer Science, but lack Math knowledge.

fudge, i am smart, but i fumbled the most lucrative degree just because i had to decide in highschool. so, now i basically can't even think about getting a degree in it, it is just not possible. it is indeed cs/software engineering(top of the corporate foodchain). i will have to do lots of self learning if i really want to get into it. but the thing is why would companies hire a self taught person over a degree holder. i will have to be the best of the best at it.

Sad the only thing I like is art but if you get good at it there are some jobs that you can get in the Arts. You can work in animation you can be a storyboard artist for films and TV shows. You could be a concept artist working for gaming companies. And like you mentioned you can like start your own business. To be honest anyting that doesn't have to do with art I find so boring and I hate it.

Med school dropper here,i thought i wanted to be a doctor since 6th grade and when i was in 12th grade i just started having doubts and once i went to medschool it became sure that i didnt want to actually study for that long and be depending on my parents for majority of my 20s

My only real critique is that I dont think people should view their weaknesses as inherent flaws that can't be fixed. It takes time and commitment, but it is very possible to overcome your weaknesses, don't let them define you.

i want to go in specific career like biomedical engineering or genetics but in my country there are tiny chances to get a job so probably you should start and run your business however i don't think that it's a good idea, so there is one way just to become a doctor, vet, healthcare management or scientist

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in E-Commerce, which involves the fusion of business and IT. During the university application process, I had a strong inclination towards CS/IT despite concerns about the perceived difficulty and my aversion to mathematics. However, upon commencing my degree, I discovered my natural aptitude for IT subjects and realized my lack of enthusiasm for business and accounting subjects. It was a decision I regretted, but I have since shifted my focus towards the IT domain and plan to pursue a Master's degree in CS/IT after completing my current program.

Ive actually chosen my draem career beacuse of that guy. I want either Veterinerian or Pharmacist.

I am in need of some detailed good advice. I have been thinking of degree & career choices a lot recently. Next year all of the university applications will open, so I want to choose a path ASAP. I am stuck between two options: Accounting & Marketing.

I know for a fact I will end up doing something in one of these career paths. Currently I find accounting a bit difficult, neither am I the best at it however I am interested in it as I have some family friends doing accounting who can help me during my professional career and also holding an accounting degree can lead to many non accounting career paths (business analytics, data manager, management consultant, account manager etc). It is also a stable degree / career to fall back on if things don't work out + it can make a lot of money.

However I am also interested in marketing (specifically digital marketing) as the idea of activities such as analyzing data, working in a group for projects / communicating with other members, doing business meetings, working on computer (office desk job), working with websites, company data, advertising campaigns, conducting company or product research etc (and other typical tasks you would find in marketing/digital marketing) appeals to me. There is more to do apart from just number work, and it has a better work life balance compared to accounting. You also don't generally need additional education after university (unlike accounting where it is better to either do CA/CPA).

Q1. Which career would better in the future (salary, growth, WL Balance etc)
Q2. Should I do Bachelor of Accounting OR Bachelor of Business - Marketing Major with Accounting minor OR a double degree in Bachelor of Business / Accounting - Marketing Major?

What if you dont know what is your passion and you neve had an idea of what is your passion job? And....you are already in your 30s? Any advice there? :)

I would give different advice to my son as opposed to my daughter. Women should not waste their youth pursuing a career at the expense of finding a husband. I don’t think a woman shouldn’t get an education but don’t think you will start looking for a husband at 30. Call me a sexist. It’s reality.

A aviation maintenance technologist/technician is what I'm Majoring in.

Only a 2 year degree with 2 licenses/Certification that you can get with no job experience and only knowledge.

huge job growth, pays close to 6 figures and the travel benefits are what entice me, also being able to work on giant metal flying behemoths; one of man's greatest inventions, would seem like a dream to me.

I'm also thinking of bringing my skills and knowledge to the airforce to get my hands on some weapons of war baby 😂

interests: religion, reasearching (especially about the things im passionate about), organizing things, music, watching horror movies, acting, musicals, doing 3d metal model kits

strenghts: ive got an eye for detail, am very careful when working (reference to the metal kits), im honest, i am insensitive to gore

weaknesses: i have trouble seeing things from another persons pov, bad memory, rejection sensitive, rather bad social skills

id rather not be in a leadership position
