I don't think it needs a museum inside it, I mean the structure itself is the piece. And secondly that gold artists impression looks very tacky. Maybe something like we see in the painting's that depict it would be better.

Such a thing is largely realistic but given Greece's economic ruckus, will it actually be done?

As a citizen of the United States, I commemorate this project. It's really awesome to see things like this built in our world today. We have tons of building technologies and skills, and yet we no longer build great wonders like we used to hundreds of years ago.

Seriously, they should build a one.  Would be a great tourist attraction and money spinner

How its ging with the project? I really want to see this

que bien que estén construyendo el COLOSO DE RODAS así tendremos una maravilla del mundo y reemplace de cristo de brasil.

I like this idea. Yet, given the terrible budget shrinking due to EU policies, the priority should go to maintaining existing heritage – ancient Greek monuments, museums, etc. Our European heritage is falling apart – not as brutally as in the Syrian archeology sites destroyed by Islamists, but it is just as tragic.

As a Greek I'm proud for my country and I wish that one day Colossus will stand on his feet again. Good luck with that fabulous project guys, I am confident that it will come true as soon as possible!

Have you thought of using some sort of solar energy-inducing material (solar panels) on the outside of the statue?

I think this sort of thing would be culturally meaningful considering what the statue originally represented (Helios, god of the Sun).

Additionally it would bring in more energy and benefit to the city itself in addition to opening potential support and avenues of funding from environmental groups and agencies.

Good luck on the project either way! I'd love to contribute something.

Video bellissimo così la musica per il progetto ..?? mi ricorda molto il mitico progetto del Ponte sullo Stretto di Messina che si potrebbe anche fare ma prima tante e tantissime cose da fare in Sicilia. Per tornare a Rodi dove ho trascorso una bellissima vacanza nel settembre 2015 e quindi parlo per aver visto il porto, la città vecchia e tutta l'isola, quante cose sono più urgenti di questo bellissimo progetto, in primis la diffusione del solare PV che salvo pochissime case è INESISTENTE su tutta l'isola mentre è diffuso il solare termico

A new world wonder? It's about time! I would love to see the west exspressing itself agian. Although if it's going to be a museum to Greek art I would prefer the interior to be less modern and culturally devoid.
