It seems that without a semi-united Germany under Austria a massive power gap in central Europe happened and without a strong Austria the Ottomans pushed farther into the Balkans, Poland with Russia to their east and the Ottomans to their south could not contest them either, and the Ottomans had a very good game with almost all of the Southern half of Poland-Lithuania

hello red hawk ! I try to start a game like yours by forming the German regions but leaving a few cities free in the holy empire. but i am facing a problem to train hanover and wesphalia, i have to be tech 10, how did you do it ? Because if i make them pass tech 10 it is obvious that they will have a certain advantage 😅

I hope to see an earlier start in EU5. Really want to form and play as Magna Frisia.

I dont realy think that the Netherlands and Belgium are German regions. It was part of Lotharingen ( the midle part between West and East Francia) The Dutch culture is surely not German and the Frisians was more somekind of a viking culture (Kingdom of Frisia did include a big part of the low lands). The Romans did call all the tribes north of the Rhine Germanic because it was easy.( They didnt invade north of the Rhine because the tribes did beat the Romans .The Romans didnt know alot about the tribes above the Rhine.) But they were alot of different tribes and cultures there, and not only one. Belgium (named after the tribe Belgiums) was not a Germanic tribe they are Gauls.(Ceasar Called them the most brave fighters he did ever see)
Also dont tell a Belgium or a Dutch person he is German, they dont realy like that. Some Americans still think that Amsterdam is a city in Germany. You tube says u are from the USA i think Americans need to learn a little bit more about Europe .Since 1648 we have nothing with Germany. Only the Dutch royal family have German roots. But that says nothing about the ppl who live in our countries.

Don't know if someone mentioned already, but the Netherlands had more troops than Saxony at the end there 190~K from what I saw.

I think the Flanders PU fizzled because Netherlands was occupying their capital so Saxony couldn't enforce the Union.
