I have some unknown chronic pain condition. My body just doesn't respond the way it should. The way a 'normal person' would. All I had to do was trip over a wire that was on the floor. I didn't even hit the ground, I just stumbled. I can't stand for more than 20 seconds without pain and walking outside my house has to be with a Rollator (a sort of walker with four wheels and a seat) and I need to stop and sit on the seat every 5 or so steps. Just from a stumble that mildly hurt my lower back. Nearly a year ago.
Don't get me wrong I was already headed this way. I've been getting steadily worse through the years. But I didn't need the jump forward into being nearly bedridden.
So yeah, I know my situation is specific due to my condition. But back injuries, even tiny ones, can be life altering.
