I've been studying the Bible for over 50 years, and I've learned some of it's finer points which most Christians never read because they think that's the pastor's job.
But I was led astray by stupid teachings from a man who didn't really know his Bible either. So I decided started studying.
Regarding the rapture, as most people who have studied the word know, the word "rapture" is not in the English Bible, it's in the Latin Bible, "rapturo".
But the occurrence of the rapture is clearly shown.
You left out one important section and Matthew 24 where Jesus said
"And then she'll appear the sign of the son of man in heaven and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of Heaven to the other."
Matthew 24:30-31
And of course of course it would be ridiculous for us to just be hanging up there in the air for a few minutes, which we won't be because we will be attending what the Book of Revelation calls the Marriage Supper of the Lamb which, imo, will take place in Heaven during the judgments on earth.
