I'm a middle school music teacher in Ontario Canada. I don't have my first day back until the day after labour day. I have spent the last couple of hours printing cutting and laminating (as we do) and I have loved your videos. This one in particular was so special to see. Obviously I teach much older kids, but I am a mom of a 5 year old. She's entering Sr Kindergarten in September, and if her teacher is even a smidgen as kind, sweet and talented as you she will be super lucky. Your students are so lucky to have you.

Today was our first day of school! It went well overall. I'm sure 4 hours of footage is extremely hard to cut down. I did appreciate the shorter vlog this time. Enjoy seeing you model things and definitely sharing the crafts and activities that you do that you find your kids have enjoyed.

I'm so glad your day was so positive and uplifting. My first day was today and it was extremely, incredibly rough. A lot of violent, defiance, and plain disrespect in 2nd grade. I did many things that I have taken from you as inspiration and everything was poorly received, they weren't interested. All they wanted to do was complain about how horrible and lame everything was, including the heart gift. It was so crushing.
I am watching this vlog to hopefully rejuvenate my mental health and hope that tomorrow is better.

I love how you jumped right into content. I think that’s so smart so that the content doesn’t seem boring. Sadly kindergarten can’t just right in, but I’m trying for day 2 or 3 to be into the content and structure a lot more!
