So what was the outcome of having such a detailed QRH at low level flight, as happened in this case? If overly detailed QRH have caused aircraft disasters in the past as well, then this is something that needs to be addressed. Sully switching on the back-up generator early and fast tracking the QRH proceedure is probably the major decision that contributed to a successful outcome.
ОтветитьMay have been a meg attack
ОтветитьWell, did those uthenized birds at least become dinner for some people?
ОтветитьFake thumbnail.
Ответитьwe had news of this in the UK infact it was news worldwide what a story and thank God for Capt Sully and his Co pilot God bless you both XXXXXX
ОтветитьI sure hope Sully never had to pay for anything again in New York
ОтветитьWhen the passenger says we were told to Brace but how do you do that? Well if you listen to the flight instructions at the beginning and read the card it tells you. Everyone should know these basic things! 😮
ОтветитьGreat documentary. I really enjoyed watching. Thanks for sharing this. Take care and God Bless.
ОтветитьThis was an amazing landing.
ОтветитьI was a senior in high school finding out the crash happened 15 years ago it feels like it was just yesterday
Ответитьsome people don’t believe in miracles. This is a miracle.
ОтветитьWhat a miraculous day. God was totally with them.
ОтветитьI think planes are to blame birds where here first why can't we stick to boats they don't harm wildlife I'm for wildlife not on planes side so
ОтветитьThis truly was a miracle! I remember watching this on the news after it happened. A real miracle!
ОтветитьI've never seen the ATC before, and I never even thought about him until this video. Thank you for showing him!
ОтветитьIt was Canada Geese😊
ОтветитьAmong Canada Geese this incident is referred to as 1/15.
ОтветитьHow does Stricken stay in business? Their planes are always having problems.
ОтветитьBIRDSTRIKE
Ответитьamazingly good story/event
Ответитьsully i wish you good luck because you saved lives off 155 lives
Ответить"Deep in the right engine investigators find "about a cup" of charred remains"
Really? A cup? Which international investigation authority uses a "cup" as a measure?
There could be an alternate universe where the Goose Channel makes a documentary about how a plane hit and killed multiple geese, and how such mass killings could be prevented by the NGSB (National Geese Safety board).
ОтветитьAmerica’s next big threat = Suicidal Geese
ОтветитьThe captain's voice is calm and controlled.
'My aircraft.' That's a Man taking control and responsibility.
God put the right pair together.
ОтветитьThat bird was proper dead
ОтветитьWow those investigators were ready to throw the pilots under the bus and were just trying to see what they could charge them with in their eyes they were not heroes but criminals just the pilots whom are dead and lift with the fault and guilt
ОтветитьSully Sullenberger and Jeff Skiles aren't heroes. They're true guardian angels of the sky. I salute them with maximum respect.
ОтветитьI never get bored of this story. Amazing pilots 💪😎
ОтветитьGood documentary but the amount of ads is pathetic and makes me want to avoid any further videos.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьI like how the plane didn’t sink and was taken to a museum
ОтветитьThe Miracle on the Hudson is one of my favorite aviation stories. It's a classic example of why we need professionals in charge.
Ответитьamazing pilot good story
ОтветитьI'm sorry I still don't get ,in this offering of the situation, why the passenger said, after hearing "BRACE FOR IMPACT", said "I don't know what Brace for impact means" ??!
ОтветитьBeing a buff of these types of videos, I cannot recall another water landing of a large aircraft in which it did not tumble. I know the waters condition and being a river versus ocean made a big difference. Landing wings level, nose up attitude, and slower than normal helped. Still, once those CFM-56's hit the water, things 'should' have went downhill fast. It should have sheared the wings off, ripped one engine off before the other causing it to tumble, etc.
I am not religious at all, but maybe this is closer to a miracle than anything else. If anyone has info on a water landing that counters what I said above please post, I genuinely would like to know because I can't recall one.
❤️❤️❤️✌️🎉🌹
ОтветитьI watched this 10 times already. :D
ОтветитьOut of every episode I watch captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger and first officer Jeffrey Skiles was the two calmest Pilots out of every episode I sing on this channel real talk they did they think and they did not panic at all
ОтветитьI really have to disagree with the comment this Channel keeps placing first. 1: "Brace for impact -What does that mean? " 2. Why music in an Emergency Situation Documentary? 3: 'Control Tower Personel ' have such a high pressure job and and are Never that relaxed in Reality. Do your Documentaries realistically or don't do them at all.
ОтветитьI remember the movie about this, no passengers lost their lives.
ОтветитьCalm under time pressure captain, and efficient co-pilot. These two are heroes!
ОтветитьThese airplane crash videos are the exact reason I would never have a pet in cargo.
ОтветитьThe young pilot enjoyed this miracle and blessings of the medal, seeing he was new, then boom medal 🏅🎉
