In addition to his musical talent from what I've read and seen of him on interviews, he's probably one of the nicest and most humble people in the classic rock industry. Yes personality does count 😄❤ If there was an award for the most congenial celebrities, I would give one to Jeff Lynne.

I got into rock music when I was 13. I had studied every conceivable piece of rock music history that appeared to me since then, and now I’m 30. And today is the day I’ve finally uncovered that Jeff Lynne is not American. And as deep into rock history as I’ve been for almost 20 years, I’m absolutely blown away to officially realize this. A lot of English musicians do a good job at sounding American; Jeff Lynne’s singing voice has convinced everybody_ that he is American for over 40 years now

Sorry, I know everyone makes mistakes, but jeez for the interviewer or cue card girl or whomever to get the title wrong to "Don't BRING Me Down" is just embarrassing and inexcusable in my opinion. It just gives the impression that the person being interviewed is just another name on a list or something. Don't they fact-check these people first?!?
