Yay, I’m not the only one who says “Fudgecicle” instead of the other word! I get what you are going through. I recently hired someone to do a deep clean and it helped me so much mentally to have that reset. Love spending time with you and Samson!

I can clean everything in my home (except antiques) with Dawn Dishwashing liquid and hot water.

You were a scene from “Mommy Dearest” when you were scrubbing and repeating “Everything’s dirty! Everything’s dirty!” 😂😂😂 I had a glimpse of myself as I annoyed myself putting my house back after a guest left after a long stay. Ugh! My attitude made me even more annoyed 😂😂😂

I am a renter too, for my ceilings I used a swifter dry sweeper pet pads ( they grab more dirt) to get my high walls and ceiling, even though it is a broom for floors the flat surface works great on my ceilings and walls... I am very short, and I use the swifter fluffy duster to get all the nooks and crannies that just seem to never stay dust-free. I def do the rage declutter... just start tossing stuff... I feel better after, but dang I end up having to replace things... lol

Carla, do you have a post office box, so I could send you somethings? Don’t want your address, wouldn’t be safe. But I’d love to send you small stuff, when I’m out about, doing shopping. If not, you wouldn’t hurt my feelings.

Could you ask your landlord for a bit of a bathroom upgrade since you’ve been such a good tenant for so long? I feel like you deserve a toilet that flushes on the first try, and also a vanity with better storage- we had a 24” wide one that had two deep squared U shaped drawers that were so functional and provided such great storage! It wasn’t super expensive either.

Chronic pain is the worst. I have fibro and arthritis and something else that gives me just whole body aches. Anyway, stress + pain = more pain x more stress = lack of motivation and just plain misery. You mentioned ADHD, which I'm diagnosed with at the young age of 63. There is a connection between that -- and that's what I was trying to remember -- and chronic pain. Something to do with pain perception and a host of other things one wouldn't necessarily associate with that particular neuro disorder. Also chronic pain can bring on ADHD symptoms, making brain fog worse. My heart goes out to you. I'd give you a hug but between the two of us, I'd be afraid one of us would get hurt 😸

Sometimes the chips at the bottom mean they stuck to the kiln.. and when they tried to take it off the kiln shelf it broke, because the glaze is stronger than the clay…

You should put more pressure on your landllord. Home owner typically freshen or repaint homes after a decade. Dont let him/her get away with that. I didnt let mine get away with it when I rented. AND, they usually dont use primer, and you cant even scrub the walls because the paint freakin comes off.

It looks dirty to you because that little sponge is just schmearing everything around. White sponge in one hand, wet microfiber (car washing cloths) cloth in the other hand. Use hot water and Dawn dishwashing liquid. No need for the Mr Clean sponge unless you have some kind of stain. The inside of the medicine cabinet can be repainted with White Enamel Spray paint. It will take you longer to empty it, clean it with vinegar and hot water. Rinse with plain hot water. Let dry , then spray it. It will look brand new! Nothing you can buy online or in person will last as long as your vintage one. Everything being manufactured today is CRAP and lasts just about as long! You got this Carla. Have you ever thought about taking your laundry to your sister's house and while you're cleaning her house you can use her washer and dryer? When are you going back to your sisters to do another series on decluttering? I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your sister and you!❤️

Ask the landlord to paint again. If he ignores you just ask him to supply the paint and that you’ll reduce the rent for the labor. Tell him the because of the age of the home you’re concerned about the peeling/chipping paint and lead poisoning for your pet.

I took a paint sample from my peeling paint into Home Depot and they matched the paint and I just spot paint when needed. But my landlord didn’t raise my rent for a long time so I felt it was ok for me to touch up every once in awhile. It’s also helpful for when I decide to move decor around and need to fill in nail holes and such. We have new landlords that raise rent every year now. They’re more of the paint what ever you want whatever color but please be prepared to paint it back to the original when you move out. 😅 It’s a lot of work.

Alternative to paint is using TSP detergent in powder form from Home Depot with hot water. Use gloves. It helps to remove old grease and dirt and dinginess from paint. Of course it’s best used on semigloss but it might remove a little bit of the shine. But I swear it looks so clean after I use it on my builder beige walls.

Pour a can of coke in the toilet, it cleans like you wouldn't believe.I painted the inside of my medicine cabinet. It looks so much better.

Carla, no one likes cleaning toilets. 🤣 A suggestion for air drying the bowl brush - put it between the bowl and the bowl seat and leave the lid up. It holds the handle steady and the brush will dry faster and won't be sitting in water in its holder.

I should think that the landlord would want to help a long-time tenant be content by painting or at the very least give you a discount off your rent and you do it yourself. I await your next decluttering video❣️❣️

Keep the green bowl you made!! It's cute. Remember that mug you chose to declutter in the beginning? Use that as your new toothbrush holder instead! I use a cute mug with a handpainted fish on it that I got in London as my toothbrush holder and it makes me happy annnd it's easy to clean.

Instead of shout - try ‘Folex’ it’s the absolute best and less toxic. And maybe something like Murphy’s wood oil instead of pledge. I’m also super sensitive to fragrances and get migraines. Can’t even do candles!

I wouldn't improve it too much, then the landlord would raise your rent :) .. Also a thought, you could put some cute wallpaper on the other side of the medicine cabinet.

We all need to reset and declutter as we go and you’re a fine example to us all ❤. I love the small tasks done using a timer. The two, five and 10 minute timers are great, who doesn’t love a deadline…lol ❤❤❤

I have tall ceiling too. I just use a swiffer mop to clean the walls in my apt. 8 years here and they won’t repaint either.

Oh! I know! In the bathroom make sure you are bitning candles mad out of stearin (i dont know de english Word for it) som candles give black sut But stearin does not! :) the air is musch helthier to inhale than from parrafin candles. :) love your videos! You can try kind of a "deal" with your landlord... you put the work but he/she pays for the materials. It's not so expensive and maybe this way you get something out of him/her. Buuuut yeah, that requires you painting and/or finding someone who does that for you.

I dunno I can never get my dishtowels clean and wonder how people do it! 🤔I always see videos with these spanking clean dishtowels.

When I don't feel like cleaning I play a game with myself. I have cut out pieces of paper and I wrote each room on the papers. I'll get them and scramble them and draw one and go clean that one room until it's all done. If I have something that belongs in another room I'll just put it in and leave it until I draw the paper that has that room on it. It might sound chilly but I've been doing it for almost 50 years now if you can believe that. 😅 If I don't get all the rooms done I'll try it again next time. I'll turn on the music and off I go. I live in a 100 year old house. It's amazing and I love it. So charming, cozy and homey. Until you look at things close. I soooo understood this. Did I miss you showing the pottery you did that you loved?

One thing that has helped me keep ahead of things:

Make the bed first thing in the morning when I get up.

Eat a meal, then do the dishes for sure before leaving the kitchen.

Never leave dirty dishes in the sink before going to bed!

Take something out to use it, then, after I am finished, put it away immediately!

Do the laundry twice a week, then put the clean, dry clothes away immediately

You deserve a deep clean on your walls and that bathroom light, etc. but done by some service folks, not you! And a new paint job! Would your landlord do that for you??
