I feel like when I'm asked this question it's a chance for someone to put me in contempt for lack of faith.

You don’t want to acknowledge that you believe in God because intellectually you have no more proof for God than you have for Santa Claus. But here’s the thing , when I was confronted by the same problem , which is no real proof for or against God ,a problem that can’t be solved intellectually. I just sat down and thought , what do i believe. What came to me very strongly was I absolutely believe in God in fact I know and there is no doubt, I’ve always known and all the intellectual arguments mean nothing.

Separate the « concept of god » and the man made ones like yaweh zeus thor allah ra etc

JP preached the gospel here out of Genesis. He is very careful about doing one thing...saying he believes in the Bible, God, or anything associated with those. He is very well aware of what will happen if he vocalizes those things. I'm on the fence whether I agree with that approach, but I can see how highly effective it is and I don't think he is choosing not to say it in public out of shame. He does it because he is trying to reach his current audience. If he outright proclaims it, he will lose a vast amount of his audience which would not be expedient. Remember that in the New Testament Paul became all things to all people in order to get the gospel across (without falling from grace of course). That's my opinion of what I am seeing here. Certainly open to any other opinions as I am just simply speculating and cannot read his mind.

The way Jordan Peterson's mind works completely amazes me. I often get into tears when watching his lectures. I'm glad to be alert and alive at a time when someone such as himself exists. Thank you, Jordan.

That is a simple, irrefutable fact. Enjoy your beliefs and don't worry about what the "scholars" think.

He doesn't fully understand what it means to be a Christian. He thinks he should be perfect and perfectly good. But that's far from right, we are not perfect and sinful by nature which is the point of the Christianity. You lean on God because of that. You are good only through Christ, never on your own, so putting faith in Him first is necessary before you act it out. Even then, you cannot act out true Christian life on your own accord only with Christ. I hope he will understand that
