Hey, Matt Isn't there any way to avoid that step where we have to stop media encoder and delete the created proxies and then doing next step - Interpret Footage?
ОтветитьI got the problem that is says "The selected preset is not supported on this plotform"
I used your present form the download link
thank you very much matt this is very informative, you're an amazing teacher
ОтветитьHey Matt! It would be so cool if you could add the proxy preset for mac users, too. Or maybe at least write in the description that it only works for PC users, would have saved me 30 minutes lol. Anyway, thanks for being such an inspiration and help!
ОтветитьHello, thx for your video! Unfortunately I'm not able to make the watermark happen.. I tried many different things, any idea? Has anything basically changed since your video?
Ответитьman, that was alot of work just to work. this was made 5 years ago, has adobe made a simpler way to do this method or does this video still hold true? Also, you said the word "proxy" a crazy amount of times, you should have used a proxy for the word "proxy"
ОтветитьMatt. Because of your videos I've been able to edit all my footage for my film score recordings. I'm the straightest man alive, but I LOVE YOU ❤
ОтветитьGreat explanation! When I follow along and use the ingest preset inside of Premiere, I don't get the watermark PNG after it's all done converting. To include the watermark, would I need to manually load the footage into media encoder and apply the encode (non-Ingest) preset that was created with the image overlay box checked?
ОтветитьIm on mac which video codec i should use apple ProRes 4444, 442, HLQ.... well theirs so much.. any help? also on adobe media encoder i cant reduce neither the opposite the Basic video settings, it lock automatically to 4 any suggestions ? thanks
ОтветитьCONGRATULATION MI FRIEND, I HELP TO LEARN THIS.
ОтветитьThis was an absolute life-saver and helped me deliver a product on-time to a client when I ran into issues. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьWOW JUST WOW!
ОтветитьLove this video
ОтветитьI am editing my first long form video for a client and i didn't realise earlier but i stored all of my footage in hard drive instead of my m.2. Is there a way i can change that mid edit without having to worry about losing all the footage in my timeline?
ОтветитьI've No Words but Only One Word Awesome :)
ОтветитьVery simple and easy to understand. you just helped me edit 8k footage smooth as "Butter"
Ответитьidk if anyone has commented this already but if you find when you hit proxies and your media encoder isnt popping up. you just gotta quickly update the program. Was worried for a bit cause i follwed the instructions to a T and it still wasn't working. Once I updated all was well :)
ОтветитьGreat video and thanks for sharing this information. I am new to the proxies setting and am so glad to find videos like this.
ОтветитьIf you're already a few minutes into a video, are you able to proxy whats already in the timeline and edited without starting over?
ОтветитьI've been editing for years and never bothered to learn how to do this. Thanks for explaining it so well.
ОтветитьThanks for the help, man!
ОтветитьWhy are my proxies taking so long and take up over 100 gigs of space with 720p footage?? Granted it is 4 hours but the original footage is only 15 gigs????
ОтветитьLove it! This is so helpful. You've just saved hours of slow playback anger. 😂👌 Thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьHi Matt, thank you so much for this tutorial! It drove me crazy to make Proxys from my Sony FX6 mxf Files. What I now found out: Use ProRes (ok, its implemented since Premiere?) / separate the audio channels to 4x Mono in your proxy settings / if you make proxies out of Premiere delink them and link them again (because with the first linked you get wrong Audio-Channels when you switch between 4K and Proxy edting) This is my experience I made with Premiere 22 and 23 / Windows 10. (but other editors told me also about the "audio channel problem") Best regards from Germany - I like your tutorials!
ОтветитьThe process described in this tutorial is obsolete with latest versions of Premiere. It is much easier now. Matt, please update.
ОтветитьI tried proxies as you explained. But why is it doing so many convluted procedures, i thought like VEGAS pro etc it would just make a proxy next to each raw file and that way when i move my folder etc everything is together and i can reopen my project years later without files at different locations and file not found errors................... instead its making a folder called PROXIES and another folder called OUTPUT inside which i found files duplicated from my other media HDD which i didnt even add this project. In VEGAS Pro and other programs it would usually just a make 1 proxy file which would be right next to the original file.
ОтветитьWhat about verticle Proxies? i got one but it streches.
ОтветитьOne of the best tutorial about proxy in Ppro. Thanks a lot brother.
ОтветитьHey guys my name is Matt Johnson ❤
ОтветитьThank you so much for this, but also, please tell me what that lamp is called so I can find one LOL
ОтветитьThis was helpful, thanks!
ОтветитьLoved that you covered all the potential issues and what to do if they occur. I've never been more amped on proxies!
ОтветитьHi Matt. I have a problem. I have the Premiere pro 2018. version 12.0.0 When I tried to create the proxy files. Premiere doesn't give me the option to use quicktime. It has the option to use H2.64 or Custom.
When I tried to create the proxy files with your preset. Appears an error. Said: The selected preset doesn't support the media file. And never opens the media encoder.
What can I do.? please :)
Hi, so when you export, do you just toggle off the proxy and export it in 4k?
Ответитьfollowed the steps all the way, but when i create proxy videos, the encoded media only shows green screen. nothing else. any idea how to fix this?
Ответитьlegenddddd thank you so much man
ОтветитьHey guys! I am having an issue where all of my proxy files say MEDIA OFFLINE and have that dreaded red screen. I am not able to use the files this way. Does anyone know the solution to this? I thought that it may be because I recorded in 10 bit color which doesn't read in quicktime? Please let me know!
ОтветитьThankssss
ОтветитьIt worked for my 64-bit PC. Thanks a lot bro !
Ответитьcool tutorial, 100% works, +rep
ОтветитьIngest = weird LOL
Ответитьand I will find my way back there too!
ОтветитьGoood tutorial man ;)
ОтветитьHey man, awesome video, really easy to follow - thank you 🙏
My proxy files are taking ages to create, not ripping through them in AME like yours were. A 25 min clip takes over 25 minutes to encode - any ideas what I can check or change?
too ahah but i watched it like 5 tis so i understand it now
ОтветитьI am very glad that I stumbled upon your video
ОтветитьExcellent Video. I found the answer I was looking for. Thank you. Comment and like!!
