My wife died of cancer. I was with her until the end. We were together 40 years meeting when she was 17. She was abused as a child horribly and we went thru therapy for 15 years to help her cope with it all. Upon her death her friend showed me an article a writer wrote about her. She never shared it or told me about it. Turns out she had 12 personalities a split caused by the abuse. Her migrane headaches she suffered with were cause by the turmoil in her mind trying not to flip in front of me or the kids. I contacted the author. She remembered her well. I told her it was well written but there was a passage that was vague. " she keeps suffering the anguish of finding herself in strange situations and not knowing how she got there". I ask her what that meant and her response was " Oh she was totally promiscuous. She was acting like a prostitute but not charging a fee. She was picking up men right off the street". I ask how often and she said once a month or 2 months but went on for a period of time. She would wake up in the afternoon in a hotel and not know how she got there but could tell by her body that she had sex. My only advice to you is it will take time to overcome this. This woman was a sociopath. Tell her parents everything, demand the rings back and sue if they refuse. I raised my son alone, his mother was "finding herself" and was "too spiritual" to be tied down with a kid. I kept my mouth shut and just raised my son until, when he was 12, she decided she wanted an active role in his life and turned him against me. He ended up going to live with her and within 6 months had been kicked out of school, was in trouble with the law. Fast forward a year and I find out that he's looking after himself as she's never at the house because she finds it "too stressful" He's 20 now and doing very well for himself and has nothing to do with her. She's 37 and has to wear adult diapers because the years of partying and casual s3x have ruined her body. Karma.
