HOW TO REWIND A RECOIL SPRING. THE EASY WAY.

how to rewind a recoil spring very very easily and quickly. no drills or tools needed. you can just do it with your very own hands.

MAKE SURE you keep the spring held down as you progressively wind it. and wear goggles for your safety if you want to.

This is for a honda 2.3 hp outboard motor. but the same would apply any similar assembly.

Also you can smear a little grease with your finger on the top surface of the spring if you wish after its wound or before its wound, i saw another guy do that!

Also there will be a correct way round for the spring to be placed, it will be one way or the other. this is so the inner catching hook of the inside of the spring hooks/slots on to the other part of the assembly. otherwise it wont catch and be in tension when you put it all back together.
