The Nature of Ayahuasca (2019) Documentary

I'm 33 I done one acid trip at 18 one full tab. Would anyone know why. When I had the trip I decided to go for a wander and not tell anyone. Then found myself walking thru Bush and a friend appeared from nowhere. That's my trip story.

In 2008 I went to Peru to experience Ayahuasca. it cured me of alcoholism. Amazing stuff.

I just feel like for me I would need to be in an environment that I’m familiar with, with music and people or a person I’m familiar with. I don’t think I can take this dark journey inward through the help of external means whilst surrounded by total strangers and music of another tongue that are chanting things I can’t translate. I just know how I have been just on pot… I’d come out of my skin. It wouldn’t be good for me in that environment. However, this is definitely something I think we should all experience. After all, knowing thyself is the greatest mystery of our existence.

I just did 4 ceremonies in Pacullpa Peru , went by myself all the way from Buffalo new york, the first 3 were EXTREMELY hard , but the 4th and last experience was the most amazing experience i could have ever imagined, changed me forever! As much as I respect the potential therapeutic value of ayahuasca, plant medicines, and psychedelics in general, I feel compelled to comment that this video, like most I’ve seen on the subject, falls into the same category as others heralding new “miracle” breakthroughs of any kind. The overwhelming majority of the comments seem to reflect this view as well.

I was recently curious enough, on the advice of a friend, to go to a well established center in Peru run by a very experienced curandero, where I spent eleven days and attended six ceremonies. When I admitted in integration that didn’t have a “vision”, I was given various advice- drink larger doses, let go of my fears, submit/accept/believe. In other words, there seemed to be a notion that the methods were infallible, and that any failures were accountable to the passenger/visitor/guest.

Maybe I was simply curious and not committed to “the work”. Maybe I just need more experience. Or maybe the emerging science is correct that psychedelics are only one potentially useful tool and not a panacea. This seems especially important in light of the fact that people who are hurting and looking for help need to understand that a non-response is not only not their fault but may be entirely normal.

I guess I just want somewhere to share my story.

When I was 19 I took shrooms, and it was like I was turned inside out. As a child, I was very extroverted and loved being around people. And after the shrooms, I felt disconnected from everyone and everything around me. I just wanted to alone. I am learning to feel happiness from within myself, not running from myself. It's been a LONG and PAINFUL process but once it's healed, it's healed and beautiful.

Just know that everything you experience in a psychedelic experience is projecting out from inside you. Do not make the common mistake of thinking the Spirits or visions are OUT there and “real”. They are real, within you. You can never experience anything outside of the realm of molecular signals in the brain. All forms of psychedelics. You have a crystal and a projector and everything that happens is a result of the content of your being showing itself to itself. From Grandmother to Grandfather, it’s all you. It is only a Christian belief in monotheism that has inserted itself into this natural state of being and forces people to misinterpret the experience. Even the jungle tribes had the Christian’s come and influence their ceremonial practices. Remember the truth, do not BELIEVE in vibratory entities that are part of the illusion

As a Christian Native American I make a coca leaf tea or maybe like my grandparents I would chew the coca leaf . I would use medicinal plants but not witches (Shamans,Yatiris)and their ceremonies. since I don't know which entities they could call.

I cured my PTSD by taking massive doses of Psilocybin Mushrooms. I don't have the night terrors any more. Also, I've been sober 20 years. No one wants this medicine.

A woman I know went on a ayahuasca retreat , she said it was amazing. Yet she returned, her behaviour has intensified as superior to others, grandiose, all about her, very selfish, no empathy or compassion to others.

Husband, father of 3, engineer at the top of my field. Was called to visit Shanti Wasi in Costa Rica and sat for 2 ceremonies. This medicine broke me free of so much cynicism. It was indeed grueling as I fought to resist the embrace of the divine but once I “gave in” it was one of the most tender moments of my life. I am forever indebted to this plant and it’s practitioners for reconnecting me to unconditional love.

This concoction killed my friend. Beware. She ingested two doses. Couldn't vomit. It burned her liver and pancreas. She died only 4 months after ingesting it. She died in great suffering. It traumatised all people who watched her go. People who gave her this mind altering concoction didn't take any responsibility.

I keep hearing all this BS about, “even if you are scared, let it play out.” Psychologically, this can intensify trauma in the unconscious mind, and quite frankly, there’s absolutely no evidence and data to prove that this is effective.

These plants truly are sacraments. And intention is everything going into the experience. It needs to be protected. It taught my westernized mind that I am more than a bag of meat and bones. I am soul. And soul can be separate from the body or outside of it. Which I had never experienced before. Outside of the first time I smoked dmt

I was about to write some joke but then started to read the comments. I am a pharmacist, I meet people with all the kinds of anxiety or depression, reading all the good comments here from people who feel "cured" is quite impressive. It changed my mind.

What a sad commentary on where western life sits. The whack jobs who think they form reality through toxic capitalism need to have this experience as a mental/psychiatric enema to get their heads screwed on straight. Pray for conversion of the fat cats.

Peru has the most safe and eenuine ceremony practiced for tribals. The Peruvian Amazon has the most genuine connection to mother nature and universe. Ayahuasca and other traditional plants has been found in the rainforest or amazon of Peru. It is a shame that Pharmaceutical companies are not giving credit to these indigeneoius caring people The Amazon is the lung of the world and we must take care of it!
