Therefore, if an agreement is reached with Morocco, this bridge will be protected on both sides because it will provide a great economic breakthrough. Instead of thinking that illegal immigrants will cross the bridge, this problem will be solved by customs checkpoints to be established on both sides of the bridge.

Thank God there is no bridge. There is enough human pollution in Europe courtesy of Africa. The evidence is in several countries. The U.S. has no bridge yet we own a huge percent of former African's decedents over populating our jails and prisons and prisons on the outside called slums and ghettos. I cannot think of a successful prosperous society in Africa other than Dutch populated South Africa.

I am not a citizen of Spain, nor Morocco. Spain has held those ports for centuries. How long has Morocco been a "country"?
Modern nation/states are such a new concept. Maybe not to 20 yo dummies, but this is why people with education in history become so frustrated with terms like, "neo-colonialism", or even "racism". Never mind the engineering- it starts with the concept that a truck is cheaper than a boat for cargo.Non starter. Boats/ships/ferries can move multiple tons of bulk goods at a lower rate. So, you are going to build it for cars and tourists? What is the goal? How much revenue will that generate?

What you totally forget to mention is that building a bridge across any major strait is not so much about the length of the bridge but way more about the depth of the strait the bridge has to cross.
In the case of bridging the Gibraltar Strait the pillars that have to support this bridge have to be at least 400 meter tall just to get to the surface level. That is roughly one World Trade Tower building per pillar. And I'm not even talking about the height of the structure above sea level.
It can be build, yes, but it will initially cost hundreds of billions of dollars to complete while the final budget will exceed a trillion because of all the new technology that has to be developed.

If there was/were a bridge erected between Europe and Africa. There would need to be a HEAVY military presence due to the number of Africans that will seek residency/asylum. Look what is happening in Italy and Greece today, just with boats.
