Bush middle school is named for George, and there is a lovely park named after Isabella. And then there is Bush prairie and Bush prairie farm. Sometimes you just have to dig a bit deeper. I didn’t know about the monument you found and would love to know where that’s located. And you are right! It shouldn’t be so hard to find information and public monuments. 😕

My wife and I are African Americans who resides in the Greater San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area who travel to Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. every two-three years. If I were to leave the Bay Area, the Seattle Area is an area we would strongly consider. When we travel there we often look for black owned establishments and black culture to patronize and experience, as well as interact with black residents in particular questioning them about what the black experience is like in the Region. I discovered your channel last week and have watched five episodes and am looking forward to viewing all of the 84 Episodes you have posted as of February 06th, 2022. Your channel is quite informative and I've added your channel to my favorites.

Why didn't you interact with anyone in my neighborhood? It would have been nice to meet with some of the neighbors here. It's a beautiful little town. Come back soon and bring your friends and family. The waterfront is beautiful in Olympia too. Let's all come together ❤❤❤

I am a black person and I have lived in Thurston County (Lacey)WA area for over 20 years. It is a great place to live for black people in my opinion. We have a great community with black churches and good schools. A really huge black retired military presence. Also we have had multiple black mayors and on the city counsil. Currently we have a black chief of police. And famous black pro athletes to come out of our high schools. Your channel is truly informative. Come check out Lacey if you're ever druve down south again.

Hi! I'm a new subscriber who's been watching quite a few of your videos the past couple of days. I really enjoy the information you share, especially in highlighting black owned business, etc., in Washington State as someone who is considering relocating back to the West Coast.

That said, there's one thing I notice in your videos that I want to point out, and I mean this with love and respect, not ill intent. "Comfortability" is not a word. Rather than using that word to describe one's comfort, the correct word is simply "comfort."

I know this video is a couple of years old, but it is new to me. Thank you for sharing this information! I love history and found this interesting.

I've been here for six years. I've experienced discrimination and hostility from Tumwater police, Thurston county food Bank, timberland library system and Intercity Transit. I've had an attempt on my life while jogging on a back road in Tumwater. It was made to look like an accident. The driver claimed that they thought I was a burglar in the area. Police showed up within 2 minutes (🚩), made jokes about my injuries, and didn't investigate or charge the driver with any fault.
