Why it looks a cheap movie when the fps is high 🤔

Incredible, if we have the Choice on any movies I’d prefer to watch in 60fps all time for sure !

It’s incredible what 60 frames does to a movie I like it a lot but also shows a lot of the effects and stunts a bit too hard lol it’s great tho I have no complaints just look past it

60fps looks like reality, like a soap opera video for instance

The "problem" with 60fps is nothing todo with 60fps itself. 60 creates a sense of heightened realism along with more readable action that Imo the industry should strive for.
It doesn't make things look less cinematic, for example look at Avatar 2 that looked incredible especially at 48fps and look at all the incredibly cinematic video games coming out now, those games don't look any better at 24fps.
The issue is that most HFR movies are made by crews that only know 24fps techniques, the production values aren't up to snuff for the added clarity of 60fps.

For instance look at Will Smiths movements, it becomes painfully obvious that this is a 50+ yr old man playing at action hero. That's not an issue with HFR that's an issue with casting and/or not shooting around Will's limitations. Similarly alot of props look obviously fake, there's a grenade that Will holds that's clearly plastic, the solution use higher quality props with the right materials. Similarly the CGI falls apart but better CG doesn't Avatar 2 proved that.
The reason why games & CG movies pull it off so much better is because these flaws don't exist, the image on the screen represents the "reality" of the scene, animations look correct, props use the correct materials etc.
This doesn't mean that HFR is a lost cause it's not and it adds so much in other areas, the solution is to increase production values and come up with new rules for how to shoot scenes.
It's like when HDTV first arrived, the early shows looked awful (Angel season 5 as an example) why? Because the cheapness of the props, the heaviness of the makeup and the low quality CG where all exposed. Did that mean HD was a write-off? No, it just meant shows had to increase in production value and we got a golden age of Premium TV as a result.
Hopefully some young ambitious directors will take on the challenge and show the older generation how it's done.

This just doesn't look real at all. It's not just the high frame rate, but the complete video game physics. This screams IT'S A FAKE throughout.

In 24 fps feels like you are watching a movie, in 60 fps feels like you are the cameramen. The second view at 60 fps was more enjoyable, don´t know why

60 FPS for films is uncanny. Was this shot in 60FPS, or are frames being added? In some parts it looks great, but overall it's unwatchable. My sister and brother in law have smooth motion on their tv, everything looks like soap opera crap.

Somehow 60 FPS just doesn't feel right. A lot like "Uncanny Valley" in CGI.

this is what kids, teens, hipsters, love high fps in movies, it looks disgusting and out of place, higher fps is only good for pc gaming, not on films, originally films are 24 fps anything above looks very ugly and stupid, soap opera effect.

To be brutally honest I have never given this movie the credit it deserves and Will Smith too the flowers he also deserve but watching this now in 1080pHDR Dolby Vision and Atmos I must say there's a lot that was done that the average viewer would probably Miss! Kudos to the team even tho I'm late to the party.

The stunts look so obviously faked with CGI when you see them in 60fps. And the chase scenes are just dizzying. It would be awful to watch an entire movie like this.

God I wish we could see and buy full movies at this frame rate of speed, ZFOLD's screen is built for this sh¡t.
